Whyte is British/European level and will never be true world level imo.

What the AJ v DW fight showed more than anything is not how well Whyte performed but how much AJ has to learn. Joshua is being rushed imo, although he may beat Martin, he's then into the level of the Pulev's, Povetkin's etc and will all this have come too soon?

 

Is Whyte is getting this hammer for losing to Joshua?

Whyte and Joshua were both unbeaten, didn't have to meet when they did, respect to the pair of them for putting it on the line for our entertainment.

Just because Whyte lost to a man who won an Olympic Gold Medal and is a huge odds on favourite to win a world title Saturday night does not make him a bad fighter or a "bum".

Time will tell, he might level out or he might kick on, we just don't know.

Im not saying Whyte will go on to win world titles but may I remind you, DeGale fought Groves in a high profile, PPV British title fight early in their pro careers and lost and many people then were saying DeGale had found his level and was over hyped and overrated but things have completely turned around.

I'm not suggesting Whyte is as talented as DeGale but a defeat does not make you a "bum" it is how you come back from a defeat or a huge setback that is the real test and defines who you are as a fighter.

 

Whyte has skills and potential to be world level. Just needs to work on his stamina and become a 12 round fighter instead of 4. He's very good with counter punches with both hands, that was a really nice counter left that rocked AJ. His jab was better than AJ's, and we know he has pop with both hands. Whether he goes to the top level or not depends on his mentality and work ethic.

He needs a team around him, who's promoting him. Somebody who has potential isn't thrown to the wolves that early when he's not ready. The stamina being the key thing, he had AJ but didn't have enough to finish him, this is why you build up fighters first.

 

When whyte beats a know fighter we will be able to make a judgement .I think he could make an impact.

 

In Britain there often seems to be very good solid HW fighters who are potentially very good but dont get past a certain fighter and dont get as far as they often deserve.
I think Whyte is a good HW and reminds me of other good HWs like Chisora or D Williams

 

Stop hating. Latest interview he says he wants to come back by July at the latest. The way he **** talks Chisora calling him the bus 59 is hilarious.

The difference is the way they lost. Degale lost to a slipt decision where many thought he won.

Whyte for most of the fight was outclassed and would have been put away much earlier if he didn't have a tough chin.

Watch the fight again, he is slow, lacks head and foot movement, heavily relies on brute force and brawling and he's a stationary target.

He can have a decent career but you and him are deluded if you think he can hang at elite level like Deagale.

 

His fight with AJ made me a fan. One tough cookie who can give us a lot of exciting fights to come

 

Whyte needs to sharpen up his skills. His attitude might stop him learning new things but cannot deny his power or chin though.

 

Elite level atm is Fury and Wilder ffs, not saying Whyte will have any great success but elite level is a joke in the HWs right now.

 

Let's wait for the povetkin fight before we call Wilder elite level. He struggled badly with spzilka ffs. Also Tyson Fury is a great heavyweight, don't let your bias cloud your judgement.
