Whyte resume is better than Wilder's.

Wins over Parker, Rivas and Chisora x2 is better than Ortiz, Washington and Szpilka.

Probably. I'm not saying he'd beat Holyfield. I'm saying he'd be risky, nevertheless.

Of course, Whyte's headbutt of Parker may have been entirely accidental

But he was employing extremely rough "gutter-like" tactics which the ref ignored over and over

    Not good for the sport

Whyte is the same height and weight as Snicker Bar King Ruiz... on my PPV DVD of Joshua vs Ruiz they call Ruiz "Not Tall in 6'2'' in height" ... when Ruiz spanked Joshua and Knocked him around the ring like a Ragdoll it reminded me of the shocked crowd in Germany when Corrie Sanders smashed Waldo Klitschko ... pure Shock and Awe...

Someone mentioned Whyte left his British Security Blanket to fight Malcolm Tann in the USA... you can't Cherry Pick a Safer Opponent... Even Trialhorses have used Tann to pad their records!! lmao

UK fans can be so biased towards their own fighters. Some of them on here probably still believe that AJ and Whyte are the 2 best HWs in the world.

Yet Wilder still knocks him out badly if they fight.

I watched the fight with Russian commentary (I can't understand a word of Russian) and I scored this fight 115-114 fior Oscar Rivas.
I'm not surprised the English commentary had Whyte far in front but I'm a bit surprised so many people here thought Whyte won wide.
I had them both winning 5 rounds each. 2 rounds I had even, and Rivas gets a 10-8 from me for the 9th round.

I don't have a problem with the 115-112 cards for Whyte, so many rounds were very close.
But the 116-111 for Whyte is ridiculous.

You need a new set of eyes.

Whyte dominated most of the fight with his jab.

Rivas when he did throw hit mainly gloves and arms.

It was wide even with the knock down.

Rivas won the first and the round he put Whyte down other than that I couldn't see a clear round to give him.

Most of Whyte's long jabs hit gloves and arms too.

    Rivas won the 1st, 5th, 7th, 9th and 12th on my card.
    I has the 3rd and 4th even.
    Whyte winning the 2nd, 6th, 8th, 10th and 11th.

Just woke up and had to look up if Allen was OK. Happy to see he appears to be fine: "But Barker later posted a picture of Allen with his thumbs up along with the following update: "Dave wants you to know he’s ok; he’s just waiting on a scan and a few stitches."

He should consider retiring now. He made the best out of his limited skills and good chin.

No they hit Rivas eye which is why it was almost swollen shut by the end of the fight, or did you not see that either.

Here's a gif of the blatant double armed shovedown that the ref decided to count as a legit KD and ended up winning the fight for Riakporhe on the judge's cards. I called it at the time and I wasn't wrong

Not enough footage, need another 8 seconds. But yeah he clearly threw a shove, not intentional, just a heat of the moment thing... Rivas was doing the same thing to Dillian Whyte on fight night, as do many other fighters when T'ing off on opponents.
