Whyte should comfortably outbox Kownacki. Kownacki blocks punches with his face, and punches like Chris Arreola crossed with a Teletubby. Whyte would jab his face off and smash his soft body to a late TKO/UD.
Whyte would smash Kownacki, might be a fun fight for a couple of rounds though. Povetkins been in the top 5 for near a decade, people have went to far in underrating Whyte off one punch.
Whyte by KO. Kownacki defends with his face and that won't work against any sort of puncher. Kownacki's punch output could be problematic late in the fight but I don't see it going there.
As much as I LOVE dunking on Dillian Whyte, he's at least a proper gatekeeper to the upper echelon talent. Kownacki's a hype job with no defense and can't punch.
Whyte also (occasionally) comes into fights in semi-decent shape. Kownacki just gets rounder every fight. Utter disgrace of a fighter, with a terrible amateurish style.
Whyte easily. He may have lost to Povetkin but he still smashes Kownacki to pieces who just takes shots and has no defence at all.
I'm interested in seeing how Kownacki bounces back from that loss to Helenius which to me wasn't shocking in the slightest. You always knew it was a matter of time until one of high level journeyman or fringe world level guys he had made a habit of facing exposed him. I felt a bit bad for the guy losing his big shot especially in front of the Polish-American contingency who were there to support him but that's boxing. He took the loss like a man and I'm sure is working hard in the gym to rectify it.
He might bounce back. He looks rotund enough. I doubt he's doing anything related to hard work though. I expect to see him tip the scales at a good 270 next time out, and fighting a complete no hoper that he'll labour to bowl over. Not a fan, though he seems like a decent enough guy from interviews.
