Dillian by knockout Povetkin is as seasoned as they come, but he has seen better days I expect Whyte to look sharper than his last fight and put Povetkin away inside 8 rounds
Oh I'm sorry, I opened a thread announcing the same fight, 2 minutes after this thread has been opened, lol. We can use this one to gather all discussions in the same thread. Povetkin is finishing his career within the next 2-3 fights I guess. And this fight will be his clearest loss I fear.
I can see Povetkin getting off first and landing more often then he cops a meaty left hook and he's seeing stars. Pov well past his best and gets ko'd if Whyte comes in 100% fit an not fat
I actually think it is a 5 star matchup as far as entertaining. We are going to see something dramatic.
I just hope the fight goes long enough so that both fighers can show their qualities, but in the end I see Povetkin on the canvas. Would be sad if he falls in the first half of the fight. I guess Povetkin has the faster and more precise hands but Whyte has more of these punches with bad intentions. 60/40 in favor of Whyte maybe.
Whyte to win this by a decision. Povetkin is very old now but he is still a decent HW. He drew with Hunter who was hyped up like crazy. Some people thought that Povetkin won. Whyte has the determination and heart to grind this out.
if Tyson keeps his hunger and comes in tiptop against a tiptop Whyte, I see a bad beating for Dillian, theres always the chance of his left hook landing and doing damage, but Fury''s iq will know all about that shot and he'll easily spear him long range. That imo is who Tyson will be fighting not Pov. If Pov does get past Whyte he gets a humiliating defeat to Fury also
Hunter imo is way overrated, hes a good contender against certain slow big men at heavy, but he aint getting a sniff of them belts ever !
Few years ago this would have been an interesting fight, right now Povetkin gets washed. I felt he deserved the win against Hunter, but Hunter is a tier below Whyte.
