Whyte decision, Pov is old but good fight nonetheless.

Whyte fights better against taller guys because he has such long arms. Against inside fighters who throw a lot of hooks - like Povetkin - he may struggle because he can get tied up (like the Chisora fights) and not be quick enough to throw his own hooks or inside shots first.

    Good fight!

I see whyte getting dropped but getting up to stop Povetkin a round or so later

clears things up a bit more in the division

Jesus a lot of top 10-15 matchups in the heavyweights so far this year. Joshua-Pulev, Fury-Wilder, Whyte-Povetkin, Usyk-Chisora with Ruiz-Ortiz and Parker-Hunter a possibility always.

It's a great year for HW boxing.

Looking forward to Chisora-Usyk getting announced too

Gonna go with SD/MD to whyte. Maybe a knockdown each.

He will scrape by again, just

Big fan of Sasha, but he is very very much past it. Maybe this will be his last chance for a shot at the title, if he beat Whyte. So he will be extra motivated, but Whyte as well.
I think Whyte will beat him by late round TKO, Povetkin is too old now and does not have the legs to go 12 rounds at the needed pace in order to beat Whyte.
Tho this will be a great fight to watch for the audience.

I thought Povetkin was lucky to get a draw vs Hunter. He's only gotten older since that fight and his best chance is to KO Whyte in the first half of the fight. He no longer has the engine he had before and if the fight goes late I only see him fading and then getting beat up before being KO'ed.

This would of been a really good fight 2-3 years ago, but not now. I'm sure he'll give Whyte a tough fight early, but he won't be able to sustain it.

Quite a few people I know are excited about this one, unfortunately for me.. I couldn't be less excited.

This is a pointless fight, we will learn nothing about either, unless Povetkin pulls off an upset and I don't think that is very likely.

I'd have much rather seen Whyte Vs Hunter or Whyte Vs Bakole.. something like that.

Povetkin is fecking ancient, but you cannot overlook his skill set. I can see him have a lot of succes early, before Whyte eventually takes over and grinds home a late stoppage or close decision. It’s very likely both fighters tastes the canvas during the contest.

Great fight, the HW division is really heating up this year.
