Yes he does and I don't think anyone in the HW division has more heart than him. He fights his ass off and battles through any adversity that comes at him and even when things aren't going his way or he's been hurt or dropped he instinctively just keeps plugging away. That was a Whyte who was in the shape of his life too.

He took his training and body way more seriously after changing his trainers.
He was a beast after the Wlad fight. If you have followed his career closely you should have know that.
A trainer can do a lot of stuffs for a boxer. Klitschko is a good example. He was pretty much nothing without Manny.

P.P. Char, Takam, Perez, Wach, Duhaupas and he KO all of them.
His best shape starting to sleeping with all the b.c. with Beyounce.

Povetkin lost some size(its actually obviously) in order to be sharper, have more explosiveness and speed, of course cardio, reflexes and so on, but lower weight may mean your punch resistance will go down a bit, exactly the case with Povetkin, age is a factor too.
His speed is not the same, his reflexes are pretty much shot to ****, his cardio is way worst, and he is swinging too much, in order to land, because his legs are gone too.

Kinda the same with Klitschko watching him trying to finish AJ and missing most of his shots, due to his age, same with Fury.

    Age doesn`t forgive anyone.
But all the props for both of them for fighting for that long and at that advance age.

I`m pretty sure Fury, and Joshua will be long gone before their 39-40.
Wilder is already going down, and he is 34.

That was beautiful. More satisfying than Fitz beating Fowler

Well Povetkin said in the post fight interview, he watched Whyte on videos and saw that Whyte wasn't very careful with uppercuts from the left and right side and Povetkin trained them. There he goes. Experience beats youth this time.

Although I have to note that Whyte appeared to have prepared meticulously. His jab was great and his body punches had early effect on Povetkin. I thought it would end within 6-7 rounds in favor of Whyte. Whyte slipped those right overhands very well, too.

Sad the match didn't last a bit longer, but was interesting to watch anyway.

Quite funny though that Whyte's fans heavily criticized Michael Hunter (who deserved a close win against Sasha). It's interesting what are they thinking now.

Michael Hunter turned out to have much better result against Sasha, and show much better chin than Whyte
