Had it thinking it would go on points with controversy because of the stakes for Dillian.

Happy for Povetkin though. If they don't have the rematch clause in place then would love to see Pov get one more crack at a world title.

Povetkin at his age should not be doing this.

It doesn't get said often but this is genuine, I am not taking pee and I really mean it and NO I'm not drunk FFS

but I just want to thank all of you that come these rbrs and get involved. Even if we disagree or might not like the same fighters, it's all great, these rbrs are always entertaining for me even when the fights are not.

It really adds to my fight nights when I'm sitting at home, I get many different perspectives and every so often even my old age still learn a thing or two and also and most importantly many of you make me laugh.

    So Cheers :beer-toast1:

I have seen what Persoon has said herself now and hopefully I’ll get to watch the fight soon and make my own mind up, was it as good the first for relentless action? That could have been said about a lot of rounds in the first fight but there were a lot of rounds were Katie couldn’t seem to put enough together to take the round, she had the better shots but was edged on work rate and aggression it could be easy to say that Persoon dominated Katie which I don’t think is true but Katie didn’t find enough answers to persoons aggression and work rate, it was a clear robbery for me but it wasn’t the domination people make it out to be, she simply didn’t find enough solutions to take many rounds, I believe in cleaner work over work rate all day long but there just wasn’t enough from Katie for a lot of the fight.
Can’t wait to see the fight like I just wonder how many women’s fights will be up to this level again.

If you are prepared for povetkin then you should be prepared for that shot, it’s his trademark. I agree with that but it’s also worth saying that there’s no boxer out there that takes that shot and doesn’t fold in half.
It was a beautiful shot, technique and movement are absolutely picture perfect for how to deliver an uppercut

    Yeah these are superb,

Errr not really, nothing major, most of us were shocked at the Taylor Persoon Scorecards, I think a few words were had then but CST80 was spot on, they were ridiculous Scorecards.

Not for me whyte would have fought a completely different fight against him and sat on him roughing him up on the inside and taking the distance away from him by doing so, you can’t control the distance with wilder you just have to not give him any. Lol imagine wilder taking body shots of whyte. Povetkin is a far more intelligent fighter than wilder, if things are going against wilder he won’t do anything different he will always be looking to swing and he doesn’t even look to work for his opportunity. If things aren’t going his way his head goes, Povetkin is always switched on and has a great ring iq he will find openings against anyone but he won’t ever get a sweeter connection than that even if he fights until he’s 100 that was the punch a fighter dreams of and it was a thing of beauty.

Povetkin set that trap up beautifully slipping past Whyte's sloppy straight right. Povetkin still showing everyone how clever he is and how he is still probably the best at setting traps in the division.

Povetkin should ride into the sunset after this win. I know he won’t because there’s money and opportunities on the table now, but his chin is cracked and he is clearly in decline. Joshua stopped him, Hunter hurt him in a could go either way fight, and now the poor technique Whyte put him down twice. Great win, great comeback, great Ko and career but I think the writing is on the wall for Povetkin.

I would love to see povetkin v Usyk that’s the only relevant fight I want to see him in, tbh I just want all these old names to make way for the young prospects I personally would rather see Dubois coming into the mix and get opportunities and people like povetkin are just another obstacle to prevent them coming through, then again after a finish like that no one can really argue about him getting another chance at a title I can easily see me watching that ko another thousand times in my life and I don’t think it will ever get old absolute classic

Yeah, that's what I thought too, but Sky Sports had Whyte pitching a shut out. They would not stop gushing about their guy and wouldn't give Sasha an even break.
