Good fight as Wilder won't give Whyte his shot, feel sorry for Dillian he's earned a shot much more than many others.

Shouldn't have turned down the AJ rematch.

At this age of Povetkin, Whyte is able to KO Povetkin with 1 good shot, while Povetkin is able to KO Whyte only with multiple good shots. As much as I like Povetkin, I favor Whyte to win within 8 rounds. 75/25 in favor of Whyte.

Great fight! I’d had preferred to see whyte vs hunter at this stage but this is also good.

I’m edging toward whyte 60/40 but only if he shows up in shape otherwise Povetkin

No I'm saying that Whyte shouldn't pretend that he is this screwed over boxer, who didn't turn down a title shot or get busted for PEDS.

So if Povetkin got the L would Whyte still have fought him? In my view Whyte should be fighting Hunter , the guy who most people thought was the victor.

I believe Whyte went for Povetkin cos he's past prime and at the end of his career.

Could be, but on the other side, Povetkin is a more prestigeous name to have on your records. Olympic winner, former champion, proven top heavyweight and I think more people would watch Whyte-Povetkin than Whyte-Hunter. Also, Povetkin is known in the UK by now with his fights against Joshua and Price, probably tickets will sell better, too.

Povetkin needs to call it a day. Yes he's still one of the top HWs in the world and assuming the Hunter fight hasn't taken too much out of him, and that's a big if, he still has enough left to hang at this level and possibly pull off one or maybe two good wins. However, he's been fighting at the elite level in combat sports for over 2 decades now, is 40 y/o, has been in a lot of wars and taken a lot of punishment throughout the course of his career and problem is he did take a lot in his last fight against Michael ''The Bounty'' Hunter. We saw what Hunter's early assault did to the tough, previously never stopped Maldonado and the one he launched against Povetkin would've taken most HWs out too IMO.

Gotta respect Povetkin's willingness to keep taking on these tough challenges (and Whyte to to be fair) at his age after all the wars he's been involved in but you can't keep going to the well because one day it's going to be empty and he's at that age and stage of his career where it's bound to happen any day now. That's why I called for his retirement after the Hunter fight and was against the rematch.

If this fight does come to fruition Povetkin will have fought AJ, Hughie, Hunter and Whyte in his last 4 fights. AJ was obviously way bigger, longer and heavier and the #1 ranked unified champ at the time, Hughie is a super slippery exponent of the Slick Gypsy style, not a style senior citizens with arthritis should be lining up to face, Hunter is an avoided dangerman who is in the giant and behemoth soul harvesting business, and Whyte is a big old lump with vicious KO power upstairs and downstairs with that big left hand of his and obviously all 4 are way younger than Povetkin and in their primes.

Lol Povetkin by easy KO. Whyte has no business sharing the ring with the Russian Vityaz. It will be brutal while it lasts.
