So true. If he wasn't on the winning side of the promoters, he would've lost to Chisora and Parker. He was really lucky that he was in the right place for the AJ fight. And that's as far as it goes. Very average skills in a very lame division. For the past 5 years we saw just a couple of good and exciting fights. Everyone is just protecting his 0 record.
Ofc and there is eddie with love to have one sided rematch clauses for his fighters opponents if he is able to get sign these clauses. A lot of highly ranked fighters at HW are 37 y.o - 41 y.o. Rare fights when both boxers are very close in ranking and age. It is not like CW division matchups with more close fights, lesser predictable outcome. Long negotiations time before fights are scheduled etc thing. HW is relatively stagnant division.
HW division might be more interesting if they had tournament format for top guys. Get top 8 or better top 16 ranked HW boxers. Tournament with 1/8, 1/4 , 1/2 final and final.
Ruiz would NOT fold Whyte like a lawn chair. I've been overrating him over the Joshua win but Joshua's chin is no better than Whytes. Both porcelain jaws that are ripe for the taking.
