WBC interim heavyweight title at stake, 1st defense of Whyte. Vallin is unranked in the WBC top 15 but is #12 in the IBF rankings.
Wallin on points because Whyte is a sausage Good fight. Winner should get Fury after he consumes Wilder. No doubt rematch clause should Whyte lose. Wallin can't let himself get stuck on the ropes behind a high guard letting Whyte rip him to the body. Wallin can take one to give one but needs to avoid any clean counters off Whyte. Draw him on early and make him gas out. Wallin slows mid/late and it's a slog to the end. Close decision for either or Whyte KO. Wallin seems pretty tough though. Wallin has to establish himself early, giving away the early fight is bad news. Whyte tends more often than not to sit back and ease into a fight. First southpaw of Whyte's pro career also? interesting. Needs to find his jab which he loves to abandon. Wallin was going to fight Ortiz if he didn't get Whyte. WAR WALLIN.
Otto, a southpaw that even gave Tyson Fury issues..... is Whyte's first southpaw as a pro. This content is protected
Have a strong suspicion Wallin will win, seems a very awkward match up for the clumsy and imbalanced Whyte. Would be a good win for Dillian if he does get it though. I enjoy his character and would be happy to rate him as a boxer as much as others seem to.
In this era, I don't know how you can be a pro for 10 years and not face a southpaw. Wallin beats Whyte. Wilder beats Fury. Wilder vs. Wallin in January or February. Wilder is the Southpaw Slayer.
This content is protected Otto is going to war. All the tarkin in the world won't save Whyte and he gets stopped by round 10.
inside the ring, anything can happen. whyte is good, yes. but his knock out by an old, yet still dangerous povetkin does NOT look good. (do not count the rematch. povetkin should never have been inside that ring that night.) wallin is hungry. something is telling me that wallin is going to win this by unanimous decision or knock out, late.
I thought whyte looked calm and composed in the Povetkin rematch. If we get that same fighter then I think he beats wallin in a close ud with both fighters having some shakey moments. I don’t think wallin hits hard enough to trouble whyte
I agree. Wallin doesn't appear to be a big puncher. But Whyte is all over the place. Three of his last five opponents have had him on the deck. Wach showed up and nearly beat him, too. Whyte doesn't appear to be "on the rise" anymore. Wallin does. It's an interesting fight, that's for sure. Either could win.
Yeah but he isn't old and really is larger than uncle Pov. After beatup from A.J and recently concussed by undle Pov Whyte MAYBE now might appear to be chinny.
