If Whyte has a brain in his head he will retire because I can see him being brutally KO'd by AJ, Wilder, Joyce or just about any other heavy handed fighter that he faces.

And even if Whyte wasn't shot, AJ, even with his losses to Usyk, those two losing versions of AJ easily beat any version of Whyte.

AJ's losing performance's against Usyk ( no shame there whatsoever) have been the best I've seen AJ since the Ruiz loss. I saw a decent improvement in AJ all round.

To me, he's actually an improved fighter in those two fights even tho he lost.

Speaking of Bakole, Whyte might be the perfect bounce back match for.... Tony Yoka.

This comment would've been understandable... in the 9th or 10th. Not the 6th.

    Why?
Fury faced a younger w/ less wear and tear Wilder. And who gave Wilder all that wear & tear... FURY.
Ruiz is a live dog facing an older Wilder who has been stopped 2X recently. I hope it's a good scrap.
If Ruiz wins it shouldn't tarnish Fury's record.

Look at their resumes and opportunities Whyte, Chisora are getting. AJ has b2b losses to a former CW and he's still highly regarded.
Whyte just edged, or got a home town decisions, a fringe contender and will be up for a big fight. Maybe vs. AJ.

I don't disagree mate. My issue with Joshua is that his confidence cracked under Vlad and was shattered after fighting Andy.
The issue is fighting at the elite level is not just physical attributes but more so about the psychological ie. supreme confidence. If you don't have that then you are fubar. You have to have that attribute otherwise you will fail.

He was breathing harder than Franklin in the 6th, at the time, live.

Which got me thinking ( at the time) if it were to go 12 then it would favour Franklin who has more recent 12 round fights and Franklin was breathing easier in the 6th( At the time)

You should have commented at the end of bloody 6th round!

    Hindsight's a great thing. ;)

Absolutely mate. But I did see a confidence improvement IMO with AJ against Usyk after his first loss going into the 2nd fight. Along with an improved gas tank and a little more dog too. But it was never to be against Usyk. Mission seemingly impossible at the time.

Where it leaves AJ as and now confidence wise is anyone's guess.

If he has enough rationality then he'll see it as Usyk was his nemesis at heavyweight. Just like Usyk has been for any other heavyweight he's fought.

AJ just needs to understand that there's some fighters you simply can't beat/ outbox.

Why? Whyte labours in lots of his fights.. nothing new here.. he still beat Parker & KOd a still serviceable Chisora.. So dont see how its DONE... he was never anything special , but he was better than what we just saw here... & the Fury KO was brutal, those stoppages take their toll, why can't Fury be credited with chipping some more off Whytes shelf life rather than post Fury Whytes performances diminishing prior standing... & he won here anyway, just because some think he didn't doesnt actually make it so.. its opinion. Debate.
I'll be surprised if Ruiz manages to get both AJ & Wilder on his resume tho.. favouring Wilder... but again, Wilder is getting old now , hes been brutally spanked twice too.. these things matter .. one of my favourite fighters is Loma.. his win over Linares was brilliant but if you look at what Linares did afterwards people would say not so.. but that's just being selective & not factoring in how they were viewed at the time.. fighters age, performances accumulate... it's lazy to just write a win off because off what they went on to do sometimes, it matters sure but it's not always as clear cut as that.

    This.

Whyte was never meant to represent anything more than a decent enough defense for Fury. A so-so showing against Franklin doesn't change that any more than the so-so showings he had (amidst the more merit-worthy ones) prior to facing Fury did.

    Nothing has changed;
