I had it as a draw but obviously Whyte got the nod on a Matchroom show. Was impressed with Franklin's hand speed, chin and punch selection. Hope he gets another crack. Maybe Franklin vs. Hunter or something.

118-109 would be a 10 rounds to 2 fight with a knockdown in one of the rounds, not a 9-9 round Lol.

Dillian should forget about even hanging around for crumbs off the top table.

Fury, Usyk, Wilder, Joshua, Joyce all dismantle him with absolute ease.

He is a highlight KO waiting to happen.

Felt sorry for Franklin when those scores (116-112) were read out.

As an aside, DAZN have dropped a bollock having the Warrington card (Dec 10th) on the same night that England potentially face France in the World Cup QFs.

There hasn't been a fight when Whyte has been in shape - he comes in two weight categories, fat as butter, or fat as lard.

Whyte last night actually looked far worse than Chisora v Parker against an opponent that would be cannon fodder for decent fighters.

I didn’t score it round by round but I felt at the end a draw would’ve been fair. I’m somewhat surprised that Whyte was getting hit clean without being KO’d, but maybe Franklin lacks power. I suppose it’s one last PPV cash out and then retirement. Heavyweight really is a dismal division outside of Usyk.

Whyte looks finished. I thought Franklin won the fight clearly. The only concern for Franklin in that fight was whether or not he had the engine for twelve rounds and he did.

Commentary was awful, scoring was awful and the attendance/atmosphere was awful. I thought it looked like a really depressing show for matchroom and DAZN.

Whyte hanging around for one more payday. He'll be sparked out soon.

Just watched it properly as I was half asleep last night. My main takes:

    - I scored it 115-113 Franklin but make no mistake both him and Whyte will get ironed out by anyone decent. At one point I had Franklin 7-2 up but Whyte won the last 3 to make it close.

    - Costello is terrible as a TV commentator.

    - Matchroom shows just seem eerie these days. I don’t know if it’s the lighting/production but they always just seem dark and grim with a really flat atmosphere.

Yeah, but there's real beef between them and they need a decider, we all do.
That amount of real beef is rare, and it's impossible to be on the fence.
It's what the fans want, real beef and fighting under fire, who cares about titles.
Biggest UK fight of this century, a real tear up of national significance.

    Or something like that

Even Sweet Caroline could not get the crowd aroused last night.

Matchroom is fading badly by the month.

    How?

Whyte has beaten 2 opponents better than Wilder ever has and a third and fourth opponent on par with Wilders best win.

How can anyone have Wilder aboveWhyte?
