The part that mentions he gets another crack includes him beating Ruiz and Whyte, in which case he would most definetly deserve another crack and one would have to be a crazy hater to suggest otherwise.

 

So why does he even deserve that opportunity?

He has done nothing of note since losing to Wilder twice and did nothing of note before that

He deserves the opportunity based on the fact that the corpse of Arreola who was coming off of a loss to the club fighter Kownacki got the very same opportunity against Ruiz. And It’s just a side note that both Ortiz and Ruiz are with PBC, both highly rated by WBC and seeing them against each other would be much more preferable to any sane fan than seeing them against hopeless journeymen.

Personally I wouldn't mind if Whyte, Parker, Chisora and H.Fury fought each other in an endless round robin series, on AJ undercards.
They are all about the same level.
