I think Whyte's chin is overrated because of his fight against Joshua, whose power I think is overrated. Whyte was hurt frequently against Chisora who we know isn't a big hitter, was wobbled by Helenius with a single right hand. Browne is easily a bigger hitter than Chisora and therefore I think there's a decent chance he stops Whyte.
50/50 fight ,both are B rated Hws , very overrated by some. Whyte`s chin will never be the same after Joshua cracked it , while Browne was down and hurt badly vs faded Chagaev , even if Browne has good chin then his defense is non existant. Really hard to pick winner here but i will root for Browne.
Whyte is all talk on social media and in interviews but when he gets in the ring with Browne and looks into his beautiful eyes the first time, he will fall in love with him.
Fun fight. I'll roll with Browne. He's beaten better comp (Whyte lost to Chisora IMO) and I think he can hurt Whyte. Whyte's thing was his toughness but we've seen him hurt a few times now. Neither him nor Browne are technical boxers really, but I think Browne wins in a fight. Should be fun either way
If the Browne that beat Chagaev shows up then Whyte might be in for a shock. Whyte is easy to hit and Browne hits a hell of a lot harder than Chisora who had no problem walking him down. I'd pick that Browne to pull of the upset. Browne isn't the crude slugger he was early on in his career. During his time with the Fury camp he picked up some nifty movement, I could see him out boxing Whyte, but if he doesn't show up in shape he'll likely get out worked.
Yes there has. See my post in British boxing forum. The Parker-AJ unification has been agreed, just a few minor details to iron out before the contracts are signed. For Spring 2018.
Wow, awesome fight! It's rare that two top 20 hws fight in an actual 50/50 fight. Whyte might be the very slight favorite but that's it, it's as close to 50/50 as it can get. Hope this happens.
Yeah whata fight, didnt even know this was in the making it must of completely passed me by. I need to get on to this twitter thing. I think both get a bit overated but i think they match up quite evenly. Guna be messy but i reckon its guna be fun.
Happy to have either removed from the title frame. That's something this and the Helenius fight have in common actually.
Anthony has great posturing and excellent positioning until an actual exchange is initiated. Once an exchange is initiated Josh tends to lose all sense of posture which more often than not causes him to fall out of position to fully capitalize on openings. Since he's not in proper position to fire off the punches he's throwing AJ has to vitiate his powerline, or kinematic chain for the science fans, for enough accuracy to land which brings down the amount of kinetic energy he can transfer to his opponent. Given his powerline is disconnected and impure causing him to waste most of the energy he creates not only does he tire early and easily, but he struggles more often than not to achieve step off one punch drops or single devastating punches. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Everyone knows the punch starts at the foot and ends at the knuckle. I was trained and have read to aim my ring knuckle but if you believe a different knuckle it really doesn't matter for this conversation as long as we can all agree that the energy in a punch travels from foot to knuckle. Ok, the powerline is how it gets there. The theory is to line your bones up so that energy travels through instead of being absorbed. The cleaner the connections the more energy will be delivered. Like a Newton's Cradle. It's why hooks are meant to have a 90 degree angle at the elbow. Ok let's take it one step farther. What happens when an object hits another? Equal opposite reaction right? When you punch face that face hits your hand right back. An impure powerline will cause broken hands at worse and at best causes your punches to bounce energy rather than force energy to be absorbed by their body. When you form a pure powerline and direct all that energy into the opponent you're completely grounded and connected there's nowhere for the energy to go but into them and if they know nothing of rolling or some such similar technique to use their own powerline to redirect the energy through themselves it will without doubt do damage. So if you're a like 265 and another guy is 155 it'll take less effort for you to achieve 300 ft-lbs than him if that's all you're trying to do, but if you're trying to hit hard and are generating 1200 ft-lbs and only put out 300 ft-lbs you're generating enough energy to kill any man while delivering about as much a KO artist in the super welterweight division.
