I wanted Browne to win but picked Whyte in several polls here.Browne fought once against a journeyman in 2 years-he was inactive, old and fat and probably off the juice too.Very bad combination imo.Never stood a chance except some big lucky punch.

Also some people here claiming that Browne looked ok against Chagaev-what ??? At the time of the stoppage 2x 82-88 81-88 on the cards and Browne was down, badly hurt and cut also.Browne then landed a lucky punch on very old and very fat and gassed man that tried to finish him, think Chagaev had some illness also.Way smaller Chagaev as well.I will give Browne credit here only because he survived the extra 30ish seconds round when they tried to cheat him and while he was badly hurt by Chagaev and down too.

Really makes me wonder if Browne has at least half decent chin or not ,may be he has some chin but zero defence and boxing ability. Also always gets cuts on his face super quick as well.

As soon as I seen Browne dancing around the first round I knew he was ****ed and going through the motions. I kinda felt sorry for him. If he was serious about winning he wouldn't have come in that kinda shape

i'm not to sure your confident Wilder win. Wilders relying on a lucky punch, Whytes a far better boxer with confidence and will come to win. Extremely dangerous fight for Wilder

I was always surprised that people kept Browne in the discussion. His only notable wins were against Richard Towers, Andriy Rudenko and old Chagaev - not impressive at all.

Probably Wilder should have cherrypicked him and KOed in the first round, but for some reason Whyte got there first.

The sad thing is, on his Facebook page he's saying it was blood in his eye and he couldn't see, and he'll be back. I hope he retires. He looked slow, old, and completely spent last night, if he fights another contender, another beating like that could be disastrous for him.

He still gives Helenius, Stiverne and Price a run for their money lol. Definitely should call it a day.

After talking so much, Browne didn't come into fighting shape and basically got beat up.

Did he hide an injury? Why did his entourage allow him to climb into the ring in such poor state?

Why take a L on your unbeaten record without any chance of victory?
Why not reschedule/pull out and give yourself a chance to perform next time?

The incredible thing is it took Whyte 6 rds to get rid of him.
Browne of the Chagaev fight would still have KO'd Whyte IMO.

If and when Browne comebacks into fighting shape and makes yet some more noise in the HW division, i reckon we can legitimately ask ourselves whether something fishy didn't went on yesterday.
