...for the WBC Silver Heavyweight Title on March 24 @O2 Arena in Greenwich, London. I have to adamit i have no clue who Lucas Browne is, what his skills are, even if have a decent shot here? No big impressions so far. I only watched one fight of Browne (vs Chagaev) back in 2016. This content is protected Browne was lucking out this in the end. Chagaev won all rounds before, even knocked him down in the sixth and then Chagaev went down from a right and could not recover at all. I am not impressed at all, Browne looks a bit sluggish and amateurish overall but on the other side Dillian Whyte also is definitely overrated. He was absymal vs Chisora, but looked better vs Helenius i think. Had more control there and Helenius is much bigger than Browne. Predictions? Thoughts? I think this one is hard to predict because it depends much on Whyte and what version will show up here. Whyte should wins this, maybe even get the stoppage here because Brownes defense looks average.
I think Browne not only wins by KO, but KO within 4. Whyte is too damn chinny and reckless, and Browne is deceptively good off the backfoot and is a decent counter puncher. Whyte's a featherfist, Browne has bricks for hands, this KO could be frightening.
Browne has little chance but a lucky shot IF Whyte let's his guard down when he's winning and let's up. He's by far the better boxer and could keep high punch counts up against a rusty Browne who hasn't actually fought no relevant fight since 2016.... That fight actually should tell you who wins. It will also be Whytes first full training camp since the Joshua fight...... Whyte by 10th round TKO.
I am going with Browne by KO as I agree with you about Whyte being overrated and feather fisted. The only reason I am not overly confident is because of Browne's age and inactivity since the Chagaev fight.
https://www.foxsports.com.au/boxing...k=ed87b9b3d23f885fafaa8129dea867ce-1519682346 I did not know that Browne was tested positive for some substance after the Chagaev fight.
Its pretty complex, he fought in Chechnya which is run by the dictator Ramzan Kadyrov, and every time someone goes to his country and either beats or comes close to beating one of his fighters they end up testing positive for something, even VADA says they don't think Browne did it intentionally. Whyte tested positive a few years back as well. So neither fighter here necessarily has the moral high ground if Browne did it intentionally.
Tentatively lean towards Whyte. But he can be hit and hurt and Browne has a way of looking terrible before pulling the KO out of the hat.
As some of you know, I'm British and sometimes can be bias towards British fighters, I do back and support my fellow Brits (there are a few exceptions). But I am favouring Browne, he can punch, Whyte was hurt by Chisora who isn't regarded as much of a puncher, I believe Helenius hurt him, he has been knocked out before by Joshua so we know for sure he can gets his light switched off. Browne by TKO mid rounds, Whyte normally has a little dip around 4-7, Chisora started getting in to him around then, Joshua got to him then and I think Browne will catch him with something and finish the job.
50/50 in my opinion I dunno who to pick lol... leaning slightly towards whyte because brown didn't look great even though he beat ruslan.
To add to this, Browne had passed all tests prior to arriving in Chechnya and there would be no advantage to taking the PED he failed on just a day or so before the fight.
