But he stopped Jennings and Jennings is way better than Scuba Scott :)

Scott spoiled all the way, Whyte won't be spoiling. Scott has glass heart and is scared of being hit, while Whyte comes to win (like Jennings).

Then again, maybe Ortiz gets suddenly totally shot and then Whyte has a chance!

I'm in the minority here but i think Whyte would outlast Ortiz. Whyte's got a good chin and Ortiz is slowing badly and doesn't have good stamina - we saw that when he couldn't put away Windmill. I see Ortiz leading after 5 rounds then Whyte stepping it up as Whyte can move when he puts his mind to it. Close UD for Whyte.

Can't see Whyte taking the fight. But I think at this present time, he would have a fair shot against Ortiz. The cuban is ageing, and took some punishment in his last fight. When fighters take their first stoppage loss, future opponents usually become more agressive, knowing that particular guy can be taken out. Whyte weren 't scared of the Joshua, and he shouldn't be afraid of Ortiz, he's clearly a level below the bodybuilder.

Although it's fact to say Scott did have a fight with Ortiz, I'm not sure he shared the ring... well, not the same parts of it...

Whyte by KO if he lasts 9 rounds. Ortiz doesn't have the condition.

Jennings ain't all that surely. Allen put up as much resistance.

Allen put up more resistance to Whyte though, Ortiz stopped Allen in 7, and Allen ate all Whyte's shots like sweets and was never rocked in 10 rounds. Ortiz a harder hitter than Whyte, Dillian would've never stopped that Jennings.

In terms of punching power Ortiz is around 8 of 10, Whyte probably 6 of 10.

yeah, but I still think Jennings ain't all that. What is his best win, Spizilka? Fedosov win was on an injury. Browne is better than The Pin.

No, shot Browne is worse by far, today's Browne is worse than shot Helenius.

Jennings won vs Perez, that's his best win, then Szpilka, Fedosov, shot Lyakhovich (who at his prime was superior fighter to Browne).

Jennings lasted 12 vs Wlad, I can't imagine current Browne last 3 vs that Wlad.

I think Whyte wins this. This will be a war, a spectacle. Old men with walking sticks tend to lose wars though. Without doubt, a younger ortiz beats whyte comfortably. But Whyte will really put the pressure on for 12 whole rounds, I think Ortiz will struggle and get tko'd around round 6-9.

Remember, Wilder didn't put any real pressure on Ortiz. He basically tried to lure Ortiz in so he could setup the right hand, it was a slow fight, completely different to Whyte fighting Ortiz. Boxing skill goes out the window in this fight I think. It'll be fast, intense, a very offensive clash. Whyte will know he can force Ortiz to go to war with him.

I dunno about that Wlad, didn't train as usual and was distracted by domestic issues and Steward's death. Browne of 2015 would be just as competitive. Chagaev is also better than Perez by a distance. I think Browne is just shot tbh.
