Grant may have been a glass cannon, but, for the amount of times he hauled/tried to haul himself off the canvas while badly hurt, he had to have plenty of heart (he can be forgiven for staying on his stool in 2014 as an old and finished fighter). The acuity and the know-how to keep a clear head and make good decisions in the moment are another matter.
Grant by KO. He could punch, had decent skills. Has the height and reach advantage. A bit quicker than Whyte. I can't think of much Whyte does better. You could say he hits harder, but both guys have more than enough punch power to KO each other. Both these guys are glass cannons, so it comes down to who's glass is more brittle? When Grant got his big moment, Grant kept getting up against hard hitting Lennox Lewis. When Whyte had his big moment, Whyte was flattened by one glancing punch from medium hitting Fury.
Grant by KO people forget Grant beat Izon, Golota, and dominated Savarese. He wasn't as bad as people remember. He had no chin but he has the physical advantages over Whyte. He'd likely beat Whyte. Whyte is just sloppy as hell and winds up in his shots like an idiot, watch him against Helenius
Whyte. As bizarre as this perhaps sounds, he takes a better punch. That's how bad Grant's punch resistance was.
Yeah I forgot about that, poor old shot Grant was doing the rounds against guys he had no business being with.
