Go back and watch it much closer, the only round of the three that was competitive was the third. Povetkin easily took the first two. You were being misled by the commentators, who were pushing the Dillian Whyte is dominating narrative hard.

Wishful thinking. No way Whyte throws away all his sanction and legal fees to the WBC and loses out on a fight likely worth $10m to him. If he doesn’t take it he goes to the back of the line and is 3-5 years away from another shot at the title. Providing he doesn’t lose again

The commentators were biased as ****, but I thought there wasn't much in the first two rounds but even I, a Povetkin fan, thought Whyte nicked the opening rounds with his jabs that were clearly landing, while povetkin was swinging and missing.

It doesn't how much you value body shots, I guess. But the only one landing clean shots to the face was Whyte with his jabs.

I think Usyk wins handily against this version of Sasha. Would have been a great clash of styles a few years back.

I dont give a **** if Whyte was up after 3 rounds he lost, got KOed. Dude is a grafter and has worked hard to get where he has got to, I give him that. He is a multimillionaire which I'm not so fair play to him. But let's stop this 'Whyte entitlement' train, nobody in this game is entitled to anything, you get your shot and you take it or not. Its the hurt business.

I don't want to see Usyk and Povetkin fight. I also don't want to see Povetkin Whyte even though if Povetkin KO'd him in Hearn's back garden again it would be incredibly rewarding. It's just the risk of Whyte winning that fight is still there.

Best case is that Whyte gets injured or dies in a traffic accident and then Povetkin fights Pulev for some belts after Pulev drowns AJ in jabs and wrestling before TKO'ing the gassing bodybuilder.

Who else should Vetkin rematch, David Price? He can keep knocking out these glass jaws until he is 50.

I personally though Whyte won the first two rounds, mainly because of his jab landing continuously, but tbf I haven't watched the full fight again besides a replay the day after.

No my friend I boxed as a young man and I still train today and take part in charity/exhibition contests. I help coach the young kids in the gym too.

By no means am I an expert and I realise I might have a different opinion from other people and thats fine if it comes down to something subjective, I don't think the first 3 rounds fell into that category.

Povetkin was definitely the busier fighter. He was throwing 3 and 4 shot combinations, nothing was landing flush. He was clipping Whyte on the top of the head, catching his gloves, skiming his face, hitting his elbows and he did land a few times.

Whyte's output was lower but when he did land they were solid impacts and mostly to the body in the first round. I think I gave Povetkin the 2nd but I gave Whyte the 3rd with a solid right hand.

The only meaningful shot Povetkin landed was the KO and it was a great shot.

Just so you know I'm not biased. I gave Povetkin the majority of the rounds against Joshua, think I gave AJ just 1 round.

Let me get this straight, your preferred outcome is that Whyte dies in a traffic accident so that you can see two washed up fighters compete for a belt? Wow.

Neither fighter (Dillian Whyte and Alexander Povetkin) was rated in the WBO's top 15 before Saturday.

Now that he's the WBC 'interim" champ, Povetkin won't be rated in the WBO ratings after the win. And Anthony Joshua is the WBO champ.

So I have no idea where a WBO title fight between Usyk and Povetkin is coming from. (LOL)

It isn't happening, whether Whyte activates his rematch clause or not.

Let's face reality here. There is no vacant WBO belt. And, this being boxing, who would be shocked if Chisora stops Usyk ... and the WBO mandatory vanishes like the WBC mandatory did?

Chisora has looked good in his recent fights and is an actual heavyweight. While Usyk has had one fight in two years and didn't look impressive at all. Usyk's mandatory spot is a 'gift,' one he may end up wishing he could give back.
