Dillian Whyte Will Likely Get KO'd Tonight

I hope Dillian wins but I think there's a very good chance he gets KO'd.

Rivas is pants, but I think he beats Whyte. Whyte has come in fat at just 1lb below his career high. No reason at all to do that against a smaller man with better footwork, more speed, a better gas tank and probably more power. Now add in that Whyte only looks max 2 inches taller and I see him having very few advantages in this fight beyond the home ref and an inch or so of reach.

Whyte definitely has the better overall resume, but purely cos Rivas has only fought one semi-live body. Whyte's best win is against Parker who was coming off his first loss. Dillian then only won as he knocked down Parker and concussed him with a head butt, which the ref counted as a KD. The ref was horrendously biased and let Whyte foul his way to a points lead he didn't deserve. Even so, if Parker had any killer instinct at all Whyte would have been KO'd in the 12th when he was utterly gone from a single shot. If the fight was in NZ it would 100% have been waved off right there. Now remember that Parker has no punch power.

Other than that one fight, Whyte's resume is pretty poor. More importantly though in his wins his performances have been consistently awful. I think he lost Chisora 1. He was losing Chisora 2, even with two point deductions, until he landed a hail mary. He looked horrific against a shot Helenius. He took 6 rounds to KO a truly awful version of an already bad fighter in Lucas Browne. He went the distance with a terrible Dave Allen who got stopped in his very next fight. I just struggle to see where in the ring he's earned the Hype he's getting.

I think that if Whyte wasn't the home fighter his whole post AJ career he'd have at least 3 or 4 more losses on his record. He's been matched incredibly softly and has had Mismatchroom refs let him get away with murder. He bitches constantly about not being WBC mandatory but everybody in boxing knew that Al Haymon would never let that happen. Anyone with any sense knows Wilder as the home fighter would never lose to Whyte anyway..

Also, why does Whyte get zero hate for walking away from a massive stadium fight with AJ to fight Oscar Rivas 3 months later for much less money? He talks insane levels of trash about other fighters but when he had a chance to avenge his only loss, become a unified champ and make life changing money what did he do?

 

I was a always a fan of DIllian until he cheated with PEDs for a second time. As I'm a reasonable person, that changed my opinion of him. Sadly, even with his PEDs he also was only saved from a KO by the ref in that last round. Also, imagine if he hadn't cheated with the gloves too.

All in all, things could have been very different but it's all irrelevant now Dillian will be getting a 4-8 year ban for persistent PED use.

 

I think it's time to move on mate. You're spinning out a bit and it's probably best to just take a bit of a step back from it all. It doesn't matter if I believe Dillian is a PED cheat or not. You don't need to get so emotionally caught up in it all.
