Press conference will be interesting. There was a video of Browne calling Whyte a 'long armed, ugly mother****er''
Maby whyte is a fighter that fights to the level of his opponent that's why his looked poor or he just was never that good anyway
This is a good fight. Most people have been very annoyed with matchrooms performance interms of Saturday fight nights for the last 18 months or so coupled with frank Warrens resurgence. Looks like Eddie has had sky on his arse judging by the Khan signing (look at eddies body language yesterday - He doesn’t fool me, I bet he had to go through hell to get that deal done as he had too). Either way it’s great for British boxing that the two big promoters are at war.
I expect Browne will Stop Whyte, who off the back of getting knocked unconscious by AJ (and he is one of many), has become the Number 1 most over rated HW in the world. He lost to Chisora by 1 point, on most observers objective scorecards. A Chisora who lets not forget comes up short, to a man and a boy everytime he gets to European level. Browne sparks him and stops in. Browne has enough in his arsenal to put Whyte to sleep. Whyte lacks power at anything above British area title level, and Browne hits like a mule, and he wont be put off Whyte's pitter patter attempt at using the jab. Browne also has a finishing instinct, the finishing instinct that Chisora lacked when he at 3 points against Whyte in their fight had him on ***** street (and Whyte was there for the taking)
Malik Scott A better version of Helenius than Whyte beat (Jobbed) Also felt he beat Whyte but he beat an ok version of Kevin Johnson.
Hope Whyte beats that mascara wearing cue ball Aussie but I seriously can see Whyte being stopped here.
Browne might not be no Ali but he hits alot harder than Helenius or Chisora. Real good competitive fight both have a chance if winning but one thing is for sure if Whyte take a anywhere near as many clean shots in this fight as he did against Chisora he will be knocked out as Browne hits much harder than Chisora.
Chisora's mouth has made him a multi-millionnaire - in the ring with the exception of the Whyte fight, he has been a plodding pudding in nearly every fight.
Is reading comprehension not a strong point for you. The question was not- what was his best loss? The question was what was his top 3 career best wins? I am charitable so here goes- Kevin Johnson Danny Williams Malik Scott
Agree that Whyte was his best “win”. He definitely won it by a round, but officially lost. The point being in that fight he had WHYTE seriously hurt TWICE and let him off the hook. Partly because he is lazy and doesn’t have the killer instinct. Browne would not let Whyte off the hook.
He also beat prime Helenius more convincingly than Whyte, despite not getting the decision and beat Malik Scott more convincingly than Ortiz. But while I also think Destruction under rates Chisora by saying he is just European level, he isn't wrong in regards to Whyte. Prime Chisora would of beaten any version of Whyte based off of what an overweight and faded Chisora was able to do against Whyte. Browne has a decent chance of beating Whyte if Browne shows up in decent shape. Whyte is very basic as a fighter, no foot work or head movement, no real craft to his game, he's just a big strong guy with OK fundamentals who has a solid jab and keeps throwing. He's basically a Duhaupas kind of fighter but is a bit quicker and hits a bit harder. Browne for all his crudeness is actually a better boxer with better movement, defensive skills and counter punching. But he could get out worked if he doesn't show up in good condition.
Solid fight, Hearn has actually had a pretty good start to the year. The more him and Warren try to outdo each other, the better for us. I'll back Browne in this. He showed a lot of character in the Chagaev win and that he's power is legit. His relative inactivity and the drug test stuff does give me some concern but it is what it is. I remember Nelson going on about life bans for all drug cheats. Well, here they are headlining at the 02!
