The fact is, Hearn has created this. PEDs were around before him, and will be around long after him. But he has used every trick in the book to allow the fight to progress (Rivas for example) with threats of litigation with the BBBoC. Fighters now don’t give a f*ck, due to the precedent he has set.

Well this is the point he was making.

Basically means Matchroom are the judge and jury. They have 0 obligation to report anything of it

 

It's not a new company, it's a legitimate drugs testing company drug free sport.

The problem is that the results will go directly to matchroom who will decide if a fighter is OK to fight or not is what's being alleged.

Now the issue with that is you could have fighter A test positive for trace levels of something and matchroom decide the fights off but then fighter B on the same card but a different fight test positive for exactly the same and matchroom say its OK to keep the fight on.

Because of the way boxing works unless we have a universal agreement that out of competition testing is brought in to the same level as athletics we will always have drug cheats. It's easy to pass a test when certain masking agents are allowed in trace levels and the gaps for some top fighters between fights perfectly match cycles.

Not many people know but we had a period of almost 2 years in the uk during covid of no out of competition testing in sport. During that time we've seen numerous athletes not just in boxing improve beyond expected levels....however that advantage period is coming to an end around the next 3 months and we will see a lot of "athletes" drop back to the more expected levels they were at.

It's also rumoured some people were caught out when testing resumed and are currently under hushed up bans and due to return shortly.

It's not just Boxers though I'm pretty sure some people could name a couple that should have been fighting and haven't with unnamed "injuries" or "inactivity" including some pretty big names.

 

See who pops up in October and it will give you an idea of whose been under a ban.

I'm also happy to speculate that the reason callum smiths fight has been moved another 5 months to january is because the injured side messed up their cycle and possibly git some adverse trace results. No need for a 5 month wait for any jaw/tooth infection.
