it's nothing personal against AJ, it's the commercialisation that irritates people. Same goes with Conor Benn. They treat us like idiots.

Wrong. They're not in the same league.

At least with AJ he went to the Olympics, actually didn't get rammed down out throats until he whooped Martin (credit to Hearn, every other promoter was sleeping by boy going for Martin), and was always going to be a mega star. He had the nation backing him.

Benn is a nobody without his Dad's fame. AJ never had it that easy at this stage of Benns career.

Agree. I always thought Matchroom did a fantastic job with Eubank along the same lines by building the profile and curiosity, without needing anyone to like him. Shame they can't find another "love to hate" megastar they can build up like that again... in a way Conor Benn and Soup Hatton might turn out that way unintentionally.

Actually think Matchroom would have had a field day - and made fortunes - with Deontay Wilder.

 

People are irritated that brands want to pay AJ to endorse there products etc etc.

If people are hating on AJ simply because he is not an idiot and treated boxing as a business for his future then sorry but that's pathetic. AJ hired the right people to help build his brand soon as that opportunity arose.

How can people be irritated by this??

 

Personally I get irritated at Joshua's fake commercial personality. Soon as he's off the leash and talking normally, and not in his cliched "stay hungry" persona, he sounds like the normal bloke he is - occasionally chippy and not the likeable boy next door on the Lucozade bottle.

Absolutely zero care how much he gets paid for it all, good luck to him.
