You brought up Tyson Fury 'struggling' with Otto Wallin earlier. He got his eye slashed and still won the bout comfortably, dropping only 2 or 3 rounds. If memory serves, Dillian Whyte struggled with Dereck Chisora twice, who Tyson Fury comfortably beat twice. He also struggled with Joseph Parker. He got dropped by Oscar Rivas. He got buzzed by both Robert Helenius and Mariusz Wach. He couldn't do anything with David Allen. In several of these bouts, the cards were close, or in favour of the opponent prior to Dillian Whyte winning by knockout. If 'struggling' is anything to go by, then surely Dillian Whyte isn't one to throw stones from glass houses.

You're talking about passing up opportunities to fight Dillian Whyte, who holds no belts, in favour of competing against a 5 year reigning champion, who some regard as the most devastating puncher in history, or at least recent times. Deontay Wilder isn't all he's cracked up to be, but there's more prestige and financial reward in facing him than facing Dillian Whyte.

Didn't Dillian Whyte pass up the opportunity to face Luis Ortiz? Better yet, he passed up the opportunity to face Anthony Joshua, who was undefeated and held 3 belts.

It seems almost necessary to disclose that Dillian Whyte is my second favourite boxer - I enjoy watching him. I like him as a character, but he's a hypocrite.

You're some ways away from consistency, yourself.

Well at least someone is taking Whyte seriously... he is too much of a bum apparently for Fury to waste his time, or for forum members to give him credit as an opponent.

Dillian Whyte for the win. Good luck to both, it will be a competitive fight.

If I've ever seen a hypocritical post, it's this one. So allow me to employ some of your verbatim tactics.

I am massive fan of Wilder and Fury, but to claim that Whyte was dropped by Rivas? Is ridiculous. It was counted as a knockdown, but he wasn't knocked down so much as he tripped himself up. It happens darling.

Marius buzzed Whyte? Please timestamp that video... I gotta see this detective colombo.

Struggled with Parker? More like Parker struggled with Whyte... crying to his corner in mid rounds, looking at his trainer wondering why Whyte hasn't quit yet. Parker quit, and it's very easy to see... he didn';t wanna be there. He was flinching... video evidence proves this... I can timestamp easily. And Parker has 15 years MORE experience... let me say that again because you missed it.

JOSEPH PARK HAS 15 YEARS MORE EXPERIENCE OVER WHYTE... THAT IS AN ENTIRE LIFETIME, AN ENTIRE CAREER OF EXPERIENCE AND SKILL... IT TAKES 10,000 HOURS TO GET GOOD AT SOMETHING, IMAGINE 15 YEARS TO DO SOMETHING... AND WHYTE STILL WON!!! HOW?!?

Derek Chisora has taken many champs and contentders the distance, he is known for being durable and granite chinned... as paraphrased by HEAVYWEIGHT BOXERS THEMSELVES LIKE AJ.... speaking of AJ... he failed to KO Takam... but old man Chisora had no problem KOing TAKAM... so clearly he can achieve things the current young prime bull champ AJ can't do!!!

Speaking of things people can't do... Whyte is the ONLY MAN IN HISTORY TO DROP PARKER AND KO Chisora.

    REGARDING ORTIZ

    1. Dillian Whyte pass up Ortiz? LOL LIES!!!
    2. Whyte offered Ortiz a main card slot... Ortiz said NO... IM TOO SCARED TO LEAVE AMERICA AND MY MUM... COME FIGHT ME AS AN UNDERCARD.
    3. Then Whyte said, but you have a second mando,... that's not worth it... a second mando??? Ill go for the primary mando with breazeale... bye bye
    4. But EFF ALLL THAT SHIZ.... WHYTE OFFERED WILDER 12 MILLION DOLLARS NUMEROUS TIMES ON TELEVISED BROADCASTS... TO GET THE FIGHT DONE... MORE MONEY THAN WILDER HAS EVER EARNED EVER UP TILL THAT POINT.... so what's a man to do??? WHAT ELSE CAN WHYTE DO???
Enter FURY... WBC GAVE HIM FREE PASSAGE TO WILDER... INSTANT RAANKING ABOVE WHYTE WHO HELD #1 POSITION FOR HUNDREDS UPON HUNDRED OF DAYS THROUGH HARD WORK AND GRAFTING.... THEN FURY GETS IN EASILY..

WHY DID FURY GET IN EASILY??????? BECAUSE HE SUCKS... NO DANGER,

He's a boxer/brawler. Kind of a disjointed schizophrenic style mixing traditional meat and potatoes boxing with wild swing for the fences street fighting. Not comparable to Chisora at all. Chisora is a come forward pressure fighter, mixing head movement and a cross arm defence to close range and batter away with clubbing lefts and OH rights till he either catches someone with a big one or beats them into submission. He basically models himself on Frazier.

Whyte keeps himself tall and fights behind the jab, counter shotting and using bodywork to set things up upstairs. He also mixes up dirty fighting on the inside and has a tendency to go wild when he has fighters hurt. He kinda reminds me of Tim Witherspoon if Tim threw his left like Lamon Brewster.

Whyte has trimmed down remarkably; reminds me of Joshua's transformation for the second Ruiz fight. Also, for some reasons Whyte reminds me of Joe Frazier, I think it's the haircut.

Anyway, I think we'll see a very different Whyte in this fight, bringing some new stuff. I will guess and say since he trimmed down, he'll have some good footwork for avoiding Povetkin coming forward. And when they're fighting on the inside, he'll go for the body and the uppercuts.

Either a straight right hand from Whyte (70%) or a right overhead from Povetkin (30%) will lead to a KO victory. Let's see.
