If the WBC just said Whyte-Rivas is an eliminator, that's great.

I'd like to see Wilder and Whyte fight.

If Rivas wins, though, and Rivas gets a #4 WBC ranking at the mandatory shot, I can see half the people on the board complaining that Wilder is fighting Rivas and not Fury or Joshua or Parker or whoever is rated higher than Rivas at the time.

They just can't help themselves.

 

Sorry he has been no 1 for 600 days and not made mandatory meaning the rankings don't actually mean anything.

 

Orgs ask the top (#1) contenders to fight in eliminators all the time. They always have. Tua-Rahman fought an eliminator. Norton-Young fought an eliminator. Moore-Valdes fought an eliminator.

Whyte just wouldn't do it. So he got stuck.

 

The heavyweight division has been a joke since Lennox Lewis and the guys from that era retired. Most of the guys now are obese, have little skill and are afraid to be hit.

Did Kownacki, Ortiz or Breazeale or Fury fight an eliminator???

The WBC have always had a suspect reputation in my opinion, this only confirms for me that they are ridiculously bias, probably corrupt and that their belt isn't worth a toss any longer.

The WBC belt is being devalued by the year.

It's a real shame, it has a lot of history but they have done this sort of stuff for decades but now Whyte has highlighted just how bad it really is.

What's astonishing is with all due respect it's Whyte, I like Whyte, I rate Whyte but I'm sure the bookies would make Wilder favourite so why are they so intent on not letting him fight Wilder?

Maybe they know something we don't, maybe Wilder don't fancy that fight, maybe Team Wilder see something.


It makes no real sense to me other than they don't fancy Wilders chances of beating Whyte.

I think Breazeale's fight against Molina was an eliminator, which is why he was mandatory. Others were voluntary I think. He hasn't fought Kownacki.

 

Dillian is projecting here. He's only saying the Heavyweight division is "a joke" because he's been the WBC mandatory for 500+ days and still hasn't gotten his shot at Wilder, whom Fury and Arum have tied up for two more fights (the upcoming bout next February, and then a rematch at a date yet to be determined), meaning that Whyte will have to wait until at least the latter part of 2020 to get his shot.

If Dillian had gotten his shot at Wilder after having been the WBC mandatory challenger for 6 months, we wouldn't be hearing about how the Heavyweight division is apparently trash from him.
