Agree with this. Yes it's a fight we want see if only to get rid of all these threads.

 

Nah if the fight happens next year, im sure you'll watch it
And if you found out that the fight is done and has a date set you'll get hyped/excited
As a boxing fan ya know that fight is Significant and you'll still be interested

It's literally boring as hell. Pacquiao is legitimately past prime. Mayweather is starting to drop, he's still looking sharp.

It's not going to be an accurate representation of a prime-for-prime matchup. It hasn't got much meaning.

 

Paquiao is going downhill since 2010. 2009 was his best year.

Sad, but true. This fight would have meant everything and answered the biggest question of this era in the sport if it happened in 2009-2011 in my opinion. Now, both are clearly way past their primes. It will still sell big because of the history between the two but the result wouldn't mean much to me and all hardcore Boxing fans.

 

I'd say he was going downhill since late 2011. 2008-2010 he was clearly on fire.

It's like B-Hop vs RJJ 2 if the first fight had never happened. Not event size of course, but the significance.

The outcome of this fight is in no way an indication anymore of what would have happened 4 or 5 years ago. Both lost one or more steps and it's about who declined the least on the assets with wich they could win the fight back then.
