I got Bivol outclassing Smith but citing their respective performances against Barrera isn't a fair comparison because Smith was fighting with a broken jaw for 90% of that fight and was in a great deal of pain and he dropped Barrera prior to that and he can punch like a mule kick.

Why would you think that? Joe's two losses were du to a broken jaw. The rest he won either by violent KO or one sided beating. Smith is huge, hits as hard as Kovalev, maybe harder. In fact he may be P4P heaviest handed guy at LHW alongside Beterbiev. This is a very dangerous match for Bivol.

 

No doubt, it could go either way, but if you truly want to see the power comparison, look at their respective KD's of Barrera. A healthy Smith sent him reeling and down on his ass with the first glancing shot that landed. Bivol bludgeoned him for 12 straight before dropping him. When dealing with power like that, there's nothing that's a given, just look at Deontay Wilder.
