    His resume without Manny is just as good as many Mexican greats but is then amplified by his 3 fight schooling of Pac.

    Boxing will be a much poorer sport when he goes.
    Let's appreciate him and his greatness while he's still around.Not many will be hanging around the P4P list at the same age and stage of their careers.

    Because Floyd decided early on he was going to be the counter puncher in that fight, taking JMM out of his comfort zone. Someone has to come forward as the aggressor or you don't have a fight. Obviously.


    Jesus this place gets worse every day.

    Against the best fighter of his generation and another brilliant technician? What should he have done, stood in the corner and waited for Mayweather to come to him? Just be quiet before you embarrass yourself further.

    There are only two things that I hate about Marquez.

    He's a sore loser and he drinks his urine. Apart from that the man is a legend.

    Mayweather is probably the best fighter of his generation, and very intelligent in the ring. JMM did plenty of feinting in that fight, but Mayweather didn't react to it like Pacquiao did for example, i.e. getting impatient and lunging in with straight and hooks, allowing JMM to counter effectively. Mayweather kept his disipline, kept his distance and used his jab well against JMM as he came in with feints. JMM was taken completely out of his gameplan and comfort zone and started coming forward more and more looking to land, which just isn't his style. He's always relied more on his timing and counter punching. So when you're taken out of your of your comfort zone, and your opponent has superior physical skills, it's obviously not going to go well. Was a bad style matchup for JMM.
