Dinamita Marquez VS Arguello at 130

He would dominate Marquez. Arguello was a more intelligent fighter, with greater power and reach than Marquez. He's the best 130 pounder of all time. I like Marquez, but Arguello would be a mismatch.

 

i dont know that marquez could go up against anybody and be a mismatch but u gotta like arguello

 

Alexis hit a lot harder than Marquez.

 

Arguello was in a class above...no disrespect to JMM of course, who is a future hofer himself.

 

I ****ing love Marquez but you have to favour Alexis in this one. Arguello is an ATG for f's sake.

JM for all his technical ability does get hit and you can't afford to that against the thin man. Think he would maybe have the smarts to see out 12 rounds but AA would win a clear decision

 

You sure about that? Arguello hit like a ****ing freight train. He made a man **** his shorts with body shots. It's not a slight difference, it's quite big actually.

As for skills, Arguello was a very intelligent boxer-puncher who could analyze weaknesses in almost any opponent, seriously no disrespect to Marquez but he simply isn't as complete a fighter as Alexis was.

 

I'd take Arguello. He was fantastic and could land on anyone. Marquez may have a bit more speed but Arguello had a a lot more power and a big height/reach advantage and he was very good at keeping guys @ the end of his punches. Becuase of this, Marquez would have a hard time countering AA as well as he does guys closer to his size.

 

Arguello in a pretty good scrap ..But Tencially Arguello would be to much for Dinamita and he's a hell of technician ..

 

Arguello should be at least 40 places above Marquez in any ATG ranking.

 

Arguello wins big.
