I hope JMM chases Pacquiao and stays away from Valero. A few years ago, I'd comfortably have picked JMM. Now, I think Valero exposes the years of ring wear. I love JMM and would hate to see Valero add that scalp to his resume.
The speed wont matter. Pacquaio is fast as hell, and JMM still arguably beat him in two fights. Valero has power, so what. JMM has fought plenty of hard punchers, and his skills are completely raw, he cant box. He is a puncher with handspeed. JMM will just pick him apart and knock him out. Its a B level righter with KO powert fighting an ELITE level fighter with ATG skills.
Bingo. Not to mention Valero keeps his chin all the way out there and lunges with his power shots. JMM has proven that he has an elite uppercut. 1 + 1 = nighty night.
JMM is lightyears above VAlero skillwise but Diaz did hurt JMM and Diaz is not a big puncher at all, Valeros defense is very weak and his head movement is non existent and JMM would take advantaage of this, Valero will have a punchers chance............
Hey no question Valero can hurt JMM...but JMM has amazing recouperative powers. We're talking about a dude whose gone 24 rounds with Manny Pac, been knocked down 4 times but never knocked out and has recovered each time. He got ****ed up in the first two rounds of Pac/JMM 1 and CAME BACK. The guy is just too tough to stay down.
I think so as well. Juan Diaz landed a lot of good shots; some of them fight ending type punches on JMM but unfortunately did not have half the power of Valero to finish the job. JMM is getting hit a lot more than usual at 135 and that is bad news when up against a puncher like Valero. I will, however, admit that Valero's best chance at victory is somewhere in the early rounds before JMM can weather the storm and adjust tactics. I can also say this though, if Valero hurts JMM at any time during the fight, he won't be able to recover and make it out of the round.
