JMM vs Valero......in comparison Valero would make Kelly Pavlik look competent vs Bernard Hopkins...... .....thats the skill level difference in this here fight. Its an early night KO victory imo for JMM, I'd be suprised to see Valero still vertical to answer the 5th round.....I'd look more for a 3rd or 4th round KO victory for JMM. Valero is in a heap of trouble against any A level fighter. Valero tonight named JMM and Juan Diaz as fighters he'd like to fight.......even Juan Diaz who's not known for power, stops Valero mid-rounds. Valero reminds me slightly of a less athletic Naseem Hamed.....Hamed carried his head a bit high as well, but the way Valero carries it is ridiculous.
JMM has all the tools to beat Valero.. but still Valero has its own puncher's chance.. though i do believe that valero's speed is extremely underrated here... if he can lure marquez into a brawl he has a chance... but marquez is too crafty and intelligent inside and out... this is a tough one for valero, if JMM can hold and evade valero's power punches... i say JMM by late TKO.
You also have to count on JMM (the best at ad******g mid fight) and Nacho Beristain (the best leader in the business at getting his fighters change up their tactics) to figure out Valero out early and make the necessary adjustments to beat Valero.
Marquez is to good a counter puncher. He might have to weather an early storm from Valero but I think he would take him out in the middle rounds.
He can definitely punch, but I'd like to see him finish the way he dropped Pitalua the 1st time. Clean, crisp punches, pick his moment...It'd be more impressive than the inaccurate sloppy barrage that ends his earlier fights, and makes me think that whilst he will probably hurt Marquez he'll have a hard job finishing him, and if he tries to finish him in the sloppy (but undoubtedly exciting and fun to watch) way he has done to most of his oppnents he will be prone to Marquez's precise, powerful counter punches.
