Drozd also stayed on his feet against Arslan. He tried to take Arslan out too hard in the first 2 rounds.Arslan got a brutal beating in the first early rounds. However,Drozd didnt have any excecutable gameplan. He foolishly thought that he could bomb Arslan out of the ring, but as we all know Arslan has a very good beard and an outstandingly good stamina.Drozd simply ran out of gas in the following round, and was totally out of puff in round 4. Arslan had to take numerous good shots.Drodz didnt have any amno at his disposal after 3 rounds. He wont repeat the same mistake twice,I guess.
Ding has a granite chin,, unreal power in both hands and is a fun fighter to watch until he gasses out. Ding's major flaw is conditioning, if he had good stamina he could easliy be a top 5 cruiser
It's frustrating that there are top ranked fighters with NO video available...looks like the thumbnail that pops up in earch engines for what appeared to have been a grainy bit of Drozd's KO of Rob Calloway is now a dead link as the copyright owner had it yanked from Youtube. Who are these rights hoggers who'd rather stifle their charges' publicity than allow people to view anything - even clips/highlights - for free? Makes no sense to me. It's not like there's even an avenue for them to shop this content to people outside their countries/regions...so why limit the access of the global community who might actually build up some buzz around a fighter and make them more profitable? :huh
afolabi said he said it was a huge advantage that no one could find him on youtube. somthing youtube brings is that it is now impossible to get your fighter protected from being spyed on.
I don't know. In the NFL and NBA, they pore over hours of footage to scout opponents' weaknesses. I can't imagine a four minute HL reel or a couple of rounds excerpted from a low-budget European broadcast using hi-8 cameras in a poorly lit ring is going to give anybody's corner or strategists much to sink their teeth into. The reward of getting your name/face out there would seem to outweigh the risk of getting Belichick'ed.
ok true i see your point but all of us here know enzo's weakness's way before he lost too haye or ola. that is not becuase we are pouring over hours of footage. it was the 4 or 5 rounds that are continously on youtube. we can see into the gym...somthing that was unheard of in the "golden age" enzo didnt have a clue what he was fighting against. a 1 min highlight would of shown that ola was a trapper. he didnt and paid the price. not saying enzo has a massive youtube account but still....yah semme:blood
No, I hear what you're saying. I'm sure Ding's camp wishes they could get a glimpse of what this was all about: Calloway down 8 times (1 time in rounds 1,2,4,5,6,7; 2 times in round 3) :scaredas: Either Rob's shot to **** or this guy's got some serious pop belied by his relatively low KO ratio (the guys he's decisioned are not guys that usually get stopped). :think
Ding beat Flores.. people say Floyd runs, Flores ran like a ***** that fight. ..that said.. Ding get's outworked and gasses.. if this Drozd guy is legit he wins.. but I'm pulling for our boy Ding.
This is interesting. So the stoppage wasn't necessarily an indication of a suspect chin, by your account, but of Drozd punching himself out. If he's got sturdy whiskers and skill belied by his unheralded name, we could be looking at Wilson's last remotely meaningful fight. :think
