I had it even. But Ding hurt BJ a few times during the fight. Too bad BJ just ran when hurt. Didn't even try to defend himself or counter or even clinch. He just ran.
Ding lost the fight IMO barely. And i think ding would agree judging by his reaction when the decision was announced. I'm concerned about dings fitness level to compete at the very top level, and flores exposed that tonight. Ding is a thinking fighter, and very dangerous. But, i think he has trouble executing his gameplan due to his physical fitness level, or lack thereof. Another factor may be that because darnell can make a very good living in other areas of his life, he may just not want to make the necessary sacrifices in his life to be an elite prizefighter. Whatever, he is our hero and the peoples champ at ESB and we love him no matter what. GO DING!!
props to both. I saw the fight and thought it was pretty good. Flores had to be really careful cause Ding was waiting for him to make a mistake and i thought all in all they both earned their paychecks and then some
i might be a little biased since I like ding's style, but I truly believe he won that fight. how can he lose if he outhrew, outlanded, and hurt BJ? BJ was on his turbo charged bike for the entire fight, how does that make u the winner? and what happened to "you have to take the belt from the champ" philosophy in all of this since everyone agrees even those who support BJ that it was a very close fight?
