Its a good fight, but I'll tell you one thing, he better fight me worlds differently than when he fought Fragomeni. I think a fight with me and Mormeck would bring the house down while it last. Ring Magazine concurs. Macca is difficult when he uses his jab and lays back looking for countering opportunities. Swarming him would be correct recipe for that. He is a fighter at heart, so he will definitely look to engage at many points of the fight. A Bell fight would also be highly entertaining cause he brings it. I really like watching him fight, but versus me, he's open for two of my best shots constantly. Cunningham: I would have to do a Sam Soliman on him. If you sit on the outside of Steve, he will outpoint you with that long ass jab.
If you got on Haye like Fragomeni did you'd probably win via stoppage. Sellers is out, so you might get the Macca fight yet.
Not being a fanboy here, I don't think David can take shots from Ding the way he was from Fragomeni. Another reason why Haye needs to spar more. He needs to learn how to use lateral movement when being pressured, something he just doesn't do to well. There is the concern, and quite legit, that Haye trains more to look good and not to be a good fighter.
Far as I can tell his old trainer had him sparring but he dropped him, picked up a new in Miami who only had him sparring 15-20 rounds for a fight, and then picked up a new trainer now that he is training in Europe but that man is more of a fitness guy not so much a boxing guy. I might be wrong on the latter, but I know the second trainer is not keen on sparring being in Miami and having done training on and off for five to six years I kind of know who does what down here.
