http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P_yvnF1xyyQ Finally, someone has posted the video of the fight. It's absolutely incredible that Wilson withstood Ninos power.....this Rodriguez may have fought some softish competition, but he's still a 6-4 250lb power puncher. And he landed his power continuously on Ding. Ding is also a very heavy handed fighter, and he landed soooooooo many bombs on Nino, it's incredible that he was able to last til the final seconds of the fight. Congrats Ding.......Im a Nino fan, but you know Ive been a fan of yours as well for a couple yrs.........how the hell did you take those bombs, and how did Rodriguez take yours. Yall were f/n killing each other in there. Hope this gets you a good payday, and gives you ambition to stand your ground and remember that even the most touted prospects will fall to your shots if you stand your ground against theirs.:thumbsup
Wow, huge left hook, he really loaded up on the left hand. Never have a boring fight with Wilson the guy just throws bombs!
Cool! I've seen many recent fights of Wilson and this time I was impressed with his balance! Wilson has always been a monsterous puncher but I have seen so many times him just plodding and swinging forward without any balance. It makes punches to lose power and opponent is capable to avoid those swings. Now he did set up those punches with his feets on the gruond and found holes to counters. Good job!! Some nice 1-2 combinations too. Wilson isn't the fastest guy out there but this time he was very sharp! And I don't have to say anything about his punching power.. Everyone knows it. :yep
Gorgeous. Ding hid and floated the left hook and put the big clumsy redneck to sleep. Mexican-americans can't fight at the big weights and wilson proved what smart fans knew all along. Nino was a can crusher who would get crushed as soon as he stepped up even a little bit.
Rodriquez was foolish to try to bully Ding inside with body punches. He fought a stupid fight. Wilson fought a smart fight throwing counter over Ninos dropped hands when Rodriguez went downstairs. I don't think Ding has been dropped by a body shot at HW. He looks softish around the midsection, but he's strong downstairs. And smart fans recognize talent.....rodriguez is/was a talent. Perhaps wasted, but talented nonetheless. And nationality/color/etc have nothing to do with ability or prowess. Rodriguez could have been a great Champion and may still become one. He hasnt given up, and true fans of the sport should be thankful he's fighting on.:good
What was KO of the year? This is probably better than what got picked Nothing like a heavyweight knockout
