1988 Dinner with the Champs Footage with Reggie Jackson conducting the interview. I saw this along time ago but figured that people here would enjoy it.

Didn't I read on here somebody say that Holmes and Foreman had to take turns stopping Frazier from battering Ali after he'd had a few drinks?

    I can believe that.

I've also got Champions Forever on DVD and it's definitely one of my most- watched boxing DVDs.
I love that bit where Norton playfiully mocks Frazier's slurred speech. "An I wa wa wa won one."
Even Big George battled to keep a straight face there...great stuff. :D

That was a low blow by Norton.

I wonder what the dinner with champions might look like with the current crew.

Vladamir : Brother can you please pass the cavier?

Vitali: I'm sorry, Nicolai Valuev has already eaten all of it.

Valuev: Waiter, I need more food!!!

Vitali: You sound like some of my opponents.

I never took it to be malicious; my friends and I banter like that all the time. (Except none of us slur, at least not when sober.)

Holmes' comment that he would have "torn him (Ali) up" I felt was a little heavy-handed, but I guess these guys still have that competitive fire burning even at that age.

Luckly for K brothers James Toney never was HW champion of the world.

Actually Toney would be an even better choice than Haye.

    Muhammad Ali:

"There can only be one champion at a time"

plus interim champion, super champion, champion in recess x4 ABC bodies

    :-(

I miss those times when the best fought the best
