Would love to see a rematch............... Dirrell has to beat Ward to secure 2 us-fighters to the final rounds.?? Style make fights .............and surely the super six is all about style. Dirrell would be kryptonite vs. Kessler. Long reach, food work and speed... Froch should beat Abraham, but he could very well beat Ward......... Round 3 coming up - and then every thing could happen in the final rounds..:bbb:bbb:bbb
its a shame he's started to improve so much whilst the tournament is going on, if he'd started the tournament (when he boxed froch) as good as he is now, he'd be the clear favourite imo
Sure Dirrell has some natural talent but lets just look at the facts of what he has done. He lost to Froch and Dirrells only real win of note is a DQ against a small former MW champ whos best win was who? Abraham also had no notable SMW resume. Even in that fight Dirrell finished unconsious,
Im not convinced Dirrell will ever become a SMW world champ, but think he will be one of those fighters who gives a good account of himself and makes close fights against world class fighters and title holders. At the moment Dirrell is judged against a limited world champ who beat him in a close fight and a DQ win over a former MW champ. I dont know if this gives a true reflection of Dirrell yet.
