Dirrell showed good skill in the tournament, but the opposition tends to be slower fighters. Froch was slower but rough housed Dirrell and he wasn't prepared for that. AA is slower too. Ward on th other hand is IMO as quick but superslick, he can use the rough stuff too. Dirrell tends to hold when in trouble, but Ward is good in telephone boot fights as witnessed during the green fight. I see Ward owning Dirrell's ass, not comfortably but he will get the nod!!
The boy needs to prove it .. he has 1 name under his resume ... he has A LOT of potential and can BE the best .. but right now froch kessler ward and bute deservingly rank above him .. imo he beats froch and kessler if they fight and ward and bute are toss ups ... as of now he isn't the best
Dirrell can someday be the best 168 lber...but as it stands today...He's not...He has a lot of work to do for him to get that title...He has the potential, tools and mechanics needed to do good things, but he's looking the mental toughness needed...He's growing and getting better with each fight so I think it might be sooner or later before we see the final product of Dirrell.
