"During today's general assembly meeting, No.3 ranked super middleweight contender Andre Dirrell of the U.S. requested a rematch of his split decision loss in October against super middleweight world champion Carl Froch of England." -the scene

Why the **** is he going to the WBC to force a rematch in the middle of the Super Six Tourney.

He probably feels very aggrieved that he dropped a decision he should of clearly got.

A rematch SHOULD happen. Any time a fight is that close, an automatic rematch should be put into motion. That said for the sake of the tournament, Dirrell should stay quiet and wait until everything plays out for his rematch.

If both fighters are bounced out, Dirrell/Froch II should be coupled with the finals of the Super Six on Showtime.

    co-sign

but at the same time, Froch would of lost his title by then....if not to Abe then to Kessler

so by the end of the tournament, would he still want the rematch even though a title wont be on the line?

Course he would, he'd jump at the chance to show he's better than Froch.

It'd look great on his resume to defeat a guy that he lost to, especially if that guy is a (former/) belt holder.

Maybe we can create one for the sake of a spectacle.

The WBAA (World Boxing Association of America) title can be on the line.

Although let's say Froch gets bounced out early or Dirrel does. I know there's a title belt floating around out there, perhaps one of them can snag that and have the instant rematch then.

Yeah it should happn after the tournament. If Froch has lost the belt by the, which he no doubt will have, Im sure the WBA will create a a new "WBA Nearly a World Title Belt but not quite one" for them to fight for!

dirrell done the right thing, super six is great opportunity for fighters, but if you were screwed by corrupt judges and missed out on a wbc belt surely you would want a rematch first thing before this corrupt SD get dusted under the rug. if i were dirrell i would do the same thing put rematch first then super six, bad on the viewers but dirrell deserves rematch.

Still you cant become world champion by runnng around holding for 10 rounds. I dont care what copybox has to say about the fight. A contender has to do better than that to become a world champion.
