I can see that happening also. AA doesn't throw enough and unless he gets a KO could just get out boxed in a very boring fight as Dirrell runs and AA simply doens't do enough to win enough rounds.

 

Abrahm is no Froch. Much better tactician, much better defense, better power, faster hands. Dirrell will try to stick and move but to score points he has to get ino Abraham's range and he will get hit when he is there. This leads to either Dirrell getting overcautious and surviving but losing a clear UD or he get's knocked out. Either way. Dirrell will lose.

 

I actually thought this was in germany. Yeah Dirrell will probably fight a simelar way to how he did Froch possibly upping the volume a little. Abraham will sit in his shell but hes going to have come foward and close the gap at somepoint otherwise Dirrell will just hit and run all night

 

Abraham waits till the last 30 seconds before he starts unloading. in the 1st 2.30, dirrell will out work him by hitting and moving then probly look to counter or tie up in the last 30 seconds. i see dirrell outpointing him

 

Should be a good night there with two Armenians fighting in Cali.

I pick Abe to take Dirrell before the 10th.

 

I thought about going with some friends who dont know much about boxing but love the fight game, but then I started thinking about the match-up stylistic wise; one is a runner and the other is a blocker. Dont be fooled with Abe's power and Dirrell's speed to make it an exciting fight, this has snooze fest all over it.

 

I can see the exact same thing happening but I wouldn't bet on anything. Dirrell has a history of showing mental weakness or possibly more accurately immaturity. Meaning, he could grow up any time and just do a 180. It does happen. But he's a whiner, he shows submissiveness and passivity in the ring and judges simply don't like that. It's not just the Froch fight where instead of manhandling Froch back, he acts like he's being abused by the bogeyman. He's the biggest question mark of the bunch because he's the only one who pretty much hasn't proven against upper level opponents that he is willing to use all his own tools.

He has great tools. But he can be dissuaded from using them. AA causes hesitance with his power and his very awkward stopping and starting, offense to defense, stopping and starting, shell to power punches, back to shell. It throws people off and Dirrell deals with adversity about as well as a spoiled brat. This fight can go either way. Like most of the SS fights. That's why I like it. If Dirrell mans up and uses everything in his arsenal consistently, he might even win a wide UD. If Arthur hits him just right, he could also be put to sleep. Dirrell might even realize that he can control distance without just running away but while he's actually throwing punches. That would be cool.

 

I think Dirrell will run again, spoil, hide after a ringpost but will not be able to score enough trough AA's defence to take the win if he goes the distance...
But I can't see him making the distance this time, AA is a lot better in cutting off the ring then Froch is and needs less punches to knock someone out.

 

I agree with most written above. Dirrell will try to replay his fight with Froch banking on a hometown decision, now in HIS favor. This is the biggest danger, that Abraham does the same amount of consistent scoring with hard punches (he fought for the last 2 minutes this time, not 30 seconds as in his last 160 fights) as in the Taylor fight, but without a KD doesn't get the rounds he should. I deeply fear for a 120-108, 114-113, 113-115 robbery, were 3x 112-116 would have been the appropriate score. Abraham has to go for KDs to make sure he can win without a KO, or just go for the KO.

I'm going against Dirrell on this one, I thought he could pull it off against Froch(based on styles), but against AA I just think he's too green to win.

 

I see Abraham stopping Dirrell while being down on points. Mark my words Dirrell won't be the same fighter after this tournament for the better or worse.

 

**** fight or not had the fight with Froch been in Dirrell's hometown he would've won. Judges can't save him from a knockout though...
I wish him the best he needs it.
