I stand corrected...just wanted to be a little humble as a fan of AA.

I do feel that Abraham gets underrated so easily, because of his habit of doing just enough to win. His combination of defense, power, chin and total confidence and ease in the ring is a tough one to beat.

You have to take into account that Dirrell did only lose barely to Froch, courtesy of fighting on foreign ground, and showboating and spoiling too much in the second half of a round, while doing his body of work in the first. I had many rounds where I thought Dirrell had it in the bag halfway through the round, and then he stopped doing anything for the rest of the round. I often hesitated then to give him such a round. If Dirrell just places his work more strategically, being the home fighter can this time guarantee him the decision IF Abraham does not land hard and frequent enough on him.

One thing I do guarantee - IF Dirrell takes more risks, presses, tries to impress Abraham, he gets knocked out harder than Taylor. Abraham is no person you would want to aggravate.

My feeling and hope is that Abraham does win this fight, without hurting poor Dirrell too much. ;)

I'm rooting for a Dirrell win.

a lot of Abraham loving going on ITT.

This fight seems like a mismatch I just don't see Dirrell avoiding AA for 12 rounds. If he gets nervous like he did in the Froch fight he's not going to win but I think he'll do better as this is in his soil now.

To his defense, that was his 2nd last fight before he retired, and he was already 36 and worn. Although, he went on my nerves for a long time before, since he reduced his output in every fight he had in the bag without any need to do so, making them sleepers.

true enuff , Ottke gets a lot of abuse ( from me too ) but if there was ever a guy that understood doing enough to win and how not to get hurt it was Sven Ottke

but yeah him and AA sparring must have been pretty quiet some days :D

You could imagine the cleaning women walking in between of them and mobbing the floor while they are "sparring".

if AA pressures Dirrell and imposes his will, i could see him getting the knock out. the only problem is Dirrell is EXTREMELY slippery and has fantastic reflexes. i don't know if AA's going to be able to catch him. if Dirrell fights smart and can land punches through AA's guard i can see him getting a UD, but he's really going to have to work for it and not just run and fall down/let himself get pushed around all the time.

Dirrell beat Froch 9-3. If you weren't eyeballing Froch's crotch the whole night you might have seen a great clinic put on by Dirrell. Too bad for you jackass. Ballet is your is your true calling.

So, Froch is able to catch Dirrell but Abraham, who is faster, more accurate, has better timing and more ring intelligence won't?
