Not clinching, it was holding, there is a difference.

“One thing I want to point out. We will not accept Dan´s choice of judges. He has done a great job to get his fighter three fights at home, but now he has appointed three judges from California. Needless to say, we will not accept his friends and colleagues judging this fight, so he better starts moving because it takes a while to bring in new judges.

“The WBA has written a strong letter to the Californian commission that the choice of judges is unacceptable but the Californian commission has been somewhat hard to reach. The WBA has been trying to contact them, sending faxes and everything. If this issue is not sorted, we can have a Super Six fight, but Mikkel´s world title will not be on the line.”

The date is correct, AA himself verified it after the Taylor fight.

That was not a bogus decision. It was a close fight. Could have gone either way. The hometown fighter and champ got it. These things happen all the time, all over the world since 130 years. That´s just part of boxing. Like it or not.

Dirrell hurt Froch, but that was ONE round. It does not automatically give you any rounds before or after. There were many rounds were I thought Dirrell had it in the bag, looking good, halfway through the round - but then he just stopped boxing ? So there were many rounds where I just waited for him to do anything he did in the first 1:30 of the round, but most of the time he thought he had the round in the bag and can now concentrate on evasion only. When he didn't get hit in that last minute, or landed punches of himself, I gave him the round, but when he didn't, and got hit by Froch with some odd jab or glancing shot, I gave it to Froch. In the end it was totally close, I would have had to watch it five times to really say who nicked each round finally. I am not going to do it, and it is Dirrells fault he made it that close by not fighting a slightly larger part of the round. Basically, he let the fight slip over to Froch, while he had the skill to avoid that.

On the other hand, what does that have to do with Abraham or Kessler ? Everone was on how "the germans" would do this, and that, and then it's a US promoter who gets his three brothers appointed as judges, and his uncle for ref ?

    Good news.

How do you see this one playing out? Abraham is considerably more mobile, fast handed and heavy handed than Froch. As well as having a tighter defence. Knowing this will Dirrell be willing to engage more than he did against Froch?

The outcome will depend on one thing: Is Abraham's guard effective against Dirrell? If it is, it negates the jab and effectively outboxing Abrhama from the outside. Taylor came out in every round punping the jab and it always landed on gloves. If Abraham can block Dirrell's punches as effectively, Dirrell will have to engage if he wants to win the fight and this will enable Abraham to land power shots. The other question is, what happens to Dirrell mentally if he is hit harder than ever before?

I lean towards Abraham, but if Dirrell can somehow penetrate Abraham's guard and can take a ounch without getting nervous, he can win.

Can`t wait for this one,Dirrell will more than likely run his arse off round the ring again against another big puncher Abraham.

The jab's going to be important, especially whether or not Andre really commits himself to it. I'm very interested to see how Dirrell approaches that guard; he's got enough handspeed to land punches around it, but does he have the mentality to eat the counters Abraham throws and still stay maintain his offense? Or, will he do like Taylor did and begin to throw half-hearted shots as the fight advances because the threat of a counter's stuck in his head?

I think Abraham's primary gameplan is to make Dirrell take the offensive rather than try to chase Andre around the ring; it's going to be up to Dirrell to win that aspect of the fight before he'll be able to count on staying on the outside and making Arthur chase him.

The final X-factor for me is conditioning; Dirrell finished strong, but he had too much of a lull in the final half of the fight overall for my liking. That's when the clinching and inactivity really hurt him, and that the clinching served no offensive purpose since he wasn't throwing anything in them, before initiating them, or on the way out tells me at least some of that might've been due to conditioning. He's got to fix that against a fighter in Abraham who knows how and when to expend his energy.

As of now, I'm making Abraham the favorite because Dirrell still has those serious question marks, despite that I had him winning vs Froch. If Andre can take an honest assessment of the Froch fight and fix what needs working on, I think he's plenty capable of pulling the upset off.

Well, these 2 will almost have one fight in advance compared to the others. Maybe Abraham want to have time to fight Bute between 2 super six fights? Just kidding. I hope for them that they won't stay inactive too long between their second and third fight.
