One thing for sure is that if Dirrell beats Ward I will be very surprised and impressed by Dirrell regardless of where it is and anything else.

please leave bute's name out of this. Until Bute fights away from Montreal and until he fights a few big names, and wins impressively, then and only then should you bring his name up.

Bute is the longest standing champion in the division and has dominated like 4 or 5 Ring Magazine top10 Super Middleweights.

So whether he fights in his home town or not he is part of the conversation. Also, even the Super 6 promoters recognize Bute's quailty. One of the promoters said something about it in one of the fight camp 360 episodes or a post fight interview I don't remember which.

    that logic is nonsense.

Calzaghe never fought much outside of the UK yet was still regarded as the man to beat at 168.

    I agree with you....

But i have not seen any imaginary rankings yet for 168 if Dirrell beats Ward...

Who would be no 1 on the 26. of sep ?

Bute. If Dirrell really dominates Ward, then probably Dirrell. If its a gift decision, then probably still Ward.

Oh right...I thought you meant at the end of the Super 6, would Bute be #1.

I'd agree with PH|LLA on this one...although Ward wouldn't neccesarily be #1 if he loses a gift decision to Dirrell. Dirrell would still have a good shout, whilst Kessler would have an even greater shout (if he gets past Green which I think he will do), and after that the winner of Abraham and Froch.

    I have a hard time calling a no1...

froch/abraham are very even in my eyes

dirrell/ward, ward is the favorite, but he losses in this scenario.

That leaves us with big ? regarding kessler and bute

    would rate them like this

Bute could be the best or maybe even the worst of these six

    Froch & Abraham would be no 5 & 6 or 4 & 5 - depending on Bute

Top 3 would be either 1 Ward, 2 Kessler and 3 Dirrell or 1 Dirrell, 2 Ward and 3 Kessler...
    f..... difficult to decide

i already rank dirrell pretty highly....and to say he was on his way to being stopped by abraham? cmon.....

if i was forced to rank em right now id probably put dirrell at 2....i view him as an unbeaten guy...if he were to beat ward....id have to put him at 1

got knocked in montreal by andrade...

if i had to compile rankings id go ward, dirrell, bute, kessler, froch/abraham.....funny that ward and dirrell were considered so green going into this....and were big dogs to win the thing...now they look like the best fighters in it

    No ****.

Dirrell will school Ward just as he has Abraham and Froch.

Really, the Ward hypetrain is about to be derailed by the best SMW in the world.

Dirrell is just smarter, faster, and more capable in the ring.

Ward will make Dirrell appear wizardlike...

I really can't see any result but a wide UD or a late stoppage for Dirrell.

ive become quite a dirrell fan recently(and yes...this is after i was actually at mohegan sun watching him fight curtis stevens....i have forgiven him)....

but even id be pretty suprised if he dominated ward....although you never know...the crowd and everything...the magnitude...he may get in the zone.....but id still be pretty suprised.....i hate to see either guy lose at this point....but ill be pulling for dirrell
