Froch has a kind of ******ed sense of confidence and no matter how much of an asswhooping he is getting he thinks he is the better man in the ring and he is determined. Same as Vic.

    I'm going with Dirrell.

It's a risk, he's barely taken a punch in his career, never faced adversity, never truely had his stamina tested, no experience.

But still, I've got a feeling. He's talented, and Froch...he's ponderous.

Logic saids Froch eventually gets to Dirrell but it wouldn't shock me one bit if Dirrell COMPLETELY outclasses Froch from 1-12. Dirrell is so talented yet so untested that it's hard to gauge. But right now, i got Froch getting to Dirrell late. But if Dirrell's power starts to affect Froch, Dirrell could be the one with the late KO win. I think that's the biggest question going into this one, "Can Dirrell hurt Froch?" Because you know he's going to land about a million shots on Froch. Second question would be, "How is Dirrell's stamina?" He could probably stick and move early on and win rounds but can he maintain that in the championship rounds?

The funny thing about this site and the majority of Americans on it is that before Froch fought Taylor he was a nobody and nobody gave him a chance. After he beat Taylor by stopping him, all of you so called guys righting him off are now all over his nuts.

Here is what alot of you guys seem to be forgetting. If Froch never beat Taylor he would still be a nobody and even more so because he would have been seen to fail at top level.

In my honest opinion I love Froch but he is going to get embarresed in his own hometown and it will be total embarressment on the faces of everyone who bought tickets to see it.

He is going into this fight OVER CONFIDENT and cocky and that is going to play against him. He is going to be getting hit with fast counters and Dirrell is going to make him look real slow and it wont even be close.

Bump my post after the fight has happened if you like but I am predicting a total embarressment for Froch.

Froch only has a 3 weapons. His relentlessness and his endurance and chin. If he cannot find the target he cannot cause any damage. Taylor was there to be hit and he was not exactly the most elusive fighter but Froch is totally underestimating Dirrell and I feel that Dirrell is going to counter Froch silly. I see Dirrell doing it and doing it in style.

Froch's inadequacies in the ring will show up big style in this fight.

Dirrell is the outsider to win the tournament at 14/1. Froch is favourite at 7/4, Kessler 11/4, 7/2 Abraham, 5/1 Taylor & 10/1 Ward!

I thought Kessler would have been made the favourite!

Froch is WAY better than Oganov. Zuniga beat Oganov when Oganov was still undefeated, and did a much more convincing job of it.

Are you planning on taking the same tack as for the Froch/Taylor fight and predicting various different outcomes at various times, then claiming you called it correctly whichever happens?

    :lol:Yea ok....Dirrell by lop-sided UD 10-2

I like Froch but, come on..he was losing to Taylor before the KO:verysad

I picked Froch to win by KO over Taylor but Dirrell is so much faster on his feet then Taylor...Froch won't be able to catch him and will be eating punches all nite,AGAIN.:deal

I'm just saying a win over Oganov isn't that important, and does not tell us much about Dirrell. Zuniga beat Oganov down bad. Dirrell got an early stoppage. The ref stepped in WAY early, although the end result may have been inevitable. (Both fights are on You Tube if you care to take a peak.)

Froch probably has fewer pure boxing skills than anyone in the tournament, but how is Dirrell going to handle it when he unloads everything but the kitchen sink, and Froch keeps coming? If he keep his wits about him, and sticks to a good plan, he should win. If not, Carl the clumsy might just knock his ass out. Frankly, I don't see Froch winning a decision over anyone in the tourney, but I can see him knocking some guys out.

When the best name on your resume is Anthony Hanshaw and you were fighting guys with losing records just five and six fights ago, you should probably just keep your mouth shut and be thankful for the opportunity.
