Dirrell could not get to semis

and they are best friends.... as long as ward beats green (which im pretty sure will happen) I honestly believe there is a chance dirrell & ward will set up their fight so that dirrel makes the finals....

as long as that happens he is in

ideally I would like to see

dirrell ward froch & kessler make the finals

and everyone rematches leaving dirrel & ward facing off in the finals in a real fight

 

Stoppages may well play a big part!!!

 

Well what if Kessler beats Froch, and he loses to Abraham? And Green also loses both of his fights?

That would leave..

Abraham 5 points (min)
Ward 5 Points (min)
Kessler 4 points (min)
Froch 2 points
Dirrell 2 points
Green 0 points

Abraham has three points and Dirrell two. So even if Abraham and Dirrell both lose their next fights Abraham goes on and Dirrell doens't even though Dirrell won their fight.

If Dirrell doesn't beat Ward then he is going to have a hard time getting through. If Dirrell loses to Ward then he will have two points and is looking at the following:

Ward gets in ahead of him with at least two wins
Froch gets in no matter what he does because he also has two points and beat Dirrell
Abraham already has three points so he gets in

That leaves Green and Kessler and they face each other so one of them will have atleast two points and then you are looking at a tie-breaker and I'm not sure how that plays out. So basically, if Dirrell doesn't beat Ward then he is going to have a very hard time advancing.

He could get through if he draws with Ward as well. If Kessler and Green both lose in the next round, then he'll probably get a spot as well, unless one of them wins by KO when they fight each other.

 

No, but Abraham's guaranteed a spot if Green loses to Ward.

 

Ward is favourite to get through, he should easily get past Alan Green. By KO-ing him that is.

 

But then you got Kessler and Green facing off in the last round. The winner there gets two points and if Dirrell loses to Ward then we have a tie. Not sure how its gets decided from there since Dirrell wouldn't have faced either guy so there is no head to head tie breaker.

Dirrell, Ward, Kessler, Green, Froch or Abraham could not get to semis....
