Forget about taking points away. Abraham clearly made the mistake. A man was on the ground, he looked at him and then just loaded up and teed off on him. Not going to say whether it was intentional or not, maybe AA honestly didn't notice his knee was on the ground. It clearly was, so he made the mistake. It's not relevant whether AA could have still won since he ended up cheating himself and in a way hurting Dirrell. In fact, Dirrell career can seriously be negatively affected due to a KO like this, as Tarver pointed out. Dirrell was commanding the fight and winning the fight convincingly. AA was coming strong toward the end and definitely won the 10th round. Still... considering how this hurts Dirrell I think he should be granted 3 points. Dirrell could've gotten the KO or a stoppage. We don't know, although realistically he probably would have won a decision. The fact that this type of a blow was illegal and damaging to Dirrell, and the fact that Dirrell was taking out a fight he could've potentially won 3 points in shows that they should at least have a ruling on the issue. This isn't an ordinary DQ. Hitting low or rabbit punching and getting a DQ for clinching too much. This was a serious legit shot. ... I guess the counter-point for all you lunatics would be that Dirrell could've faked a KO and gotten an extra point for doing so. That's true, and we wouldn't want fighters to do that so maybe 2 points is the only viable option. Still... Dirrell is affected the worst from this entire situation because HE didn't make the mistake and HE got injured from it. Thoughts? Am I going to far in trying to rectify the injustice that AA did?
I think the point is anyway you slice it Dirrell comes out screwed the most by this bizarre circumstance.
lol. I think he should take Arthurs title and now be called....... King Dirrell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
what abraham did should be tried in criminal court in my opinion and the man should be ejected from the tourney
