I had no respect for the guy when I first saw him "fighting" Froch. He got my respect for about 10½ rounds fighting AA, and then lost it again after the bout. With hindsight I also withdraw that respect for the #sshole I had for him at that time! :-(
Of course. He was man enough to step in the ring and take on other fighters in front of huge audiences and television. Anyone who does that should be given respect.
I respect his boxing ability. He's pretty damned good, technically. I'm not too wild about his personality and character.
I don't respect Dirrell at all. The first time I ever saw him fight, was his pathetic performance against Stevens. I only noticed this the other day, but if you watch after the fight, you hear the fans boo and his response is, paraphrasing, "I got paid like a mother****er so I don't care". That attitude sums him up to me. Relating to Froch, watch the weigh in and how disgraceful he acts. He's shouting in Froch's face, acting "tough" but looking like someone who was dragged up without any class, and then he fought like that. Simply the worst performance I've ever seen from a title challenger and he deserved to be booed and called a coward by every fan who paid for a ticket that night. As for the Abraham stuff, I do think he exaggerated the knockout. If he had a spotless record, I would be 50/5-, but before of the previous bull**** from him, I just think he saw an opening and used it to win cheaply. Then there's the entire negotiations with Ward. This fight was never close. The only time there was an atual date, is when Showtime threatened legal action on the pair of them and then we get the excuse of a brain injury? Please. It's obvious he is lying. He's just a coward. No more, no less. I'll never pay to watch him fight again and I never hope to see him on a boxing news site again, or in The Ring or on HBO or Showtime, or anything. I hope he is done with the sport forever.
I never had much respect for him as a fighter to begin with. After watching Fight Camp last night not only do I have no respect for him now, I believe he's a lair as well.
After i saw him against Froch i thought he would be the biggest "crying *****" in the tournament. But when i saw him outpoint Abraham i changed my mind about him, and belived he could go all the way and probably win the super6. Now im back to were i was after the Froch fight.. He got the skills, but not the mentallity! So no, i dont respect him as a fighter anymore
After watching the Fight Camp episode last night? No way. He is not telling the truth. Even Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder can see it.
