    I think everyone here in seriously underestimating Carl Froch.
    Its the Calzaghe/Lacy case all over again where everyone seriously underestimated Joe and seriously overated Lacy.

    Dirrell will step into the arena with 10,000 brits baying for blood all backing Froch and I can't see Dirrell being able to cope with Frochs determination and aggression and also the fans

    Just my six pence worth tho

    If anything its a case of
    Froch=Lacy
    Dirrell=Calzaghe

    It could go either way to be fair though because this is Dirrell's acid test. He may well school Froch, or he may get found out. 10,000 fans mean nothing, Froch cant bring them into the ring with him

    Bottom line is Froch isnt that good, but we dont know how good Dirrell is yet

    Bottom line is: Froch beat a fighter who beat Hopkins. Froch > Taylor > Hopkins whether you like it or not. So if youu think Hopkins is really poor - then you can say thaat Froch isn't that good, but in terms of pure logic you make no sense if you think Hopkins is good.

    No one is underestimating Froch. Its already known what he will bring to the table.

    It is like Calzaghe/Lacy though, only not in Froch's favor.

    Yes and Pavlik must be better than Hopkins too right? :lol:

    Froch has no defense, average speed, decent but not great power. He's nothing special and he's getting found out whether by Dirrell, Ward or Kessler

    Dirrell, Ward or Kessler??

    I disagree, I think it will be Kessler who gets found out in this tornament. Who has he beat? He has made a name out of himself because of the Calzaghe fight and holding the belt fighting bums.

    And I don't think you will see Frochs hands so low this time round. The Taylor fight should have taught Froch a lot of things. If he can add certyain aspects to his game he is going to be very hard to beat unless he fights a boring pot shotter who runs all night

    Froch to smoke Dirrell IMO.

    about your comparison : that is what i thought exactly when i read the original post in the thread , but , and regarding the rest : Froch has some meaningful wins : Pascal , Taylor , Reid
    unlike lacy who only had Reid.
    Dirrell , however has no meaningul wins at this point , thus even less than Calzaghe back then and less experienced.

    Ya gotta be shittin me, everyone is underestimating Dirrell if anything.....Not Froch.

    Dirrell isn't the one in for a rude awakening. The guy that's already on top with the belt is in for one. Dirrell is being seriously underestimated by Froch and his fans.

    Kessler to be found out? I think he's the most proven fighter at this weight and it will take a special performance (like the Calzaghe fight) to beat him.

    We know what Froch can do. Dirrell can surprise in this fight.

    You're absolutely right in that Dirrell doesn't know what he is letting himself in for. I think you're wrong in the comparison with Calzaghe Lacy though. From the polls on here it seems that it is only the most optimistic Americans or fervent Calzaghe fans (ie Froch haters) that credit Dirrell with having more the a slim chance of beating the beast that is Froch in front of his home fans.....and yes, despite his deficiencies, Froch IS pretty damn good :hey

    Froch is the favorite. In ESB and outside.

    Taylor > Hopkins > Pavlik > Taylor

    oh ****, what do we do now?

    Hopkins is p4p #3, Taylor was nowhere near the top10 when Froch got in the ring with him.

    Kessler's not all that...he's done NOTHING to prove otherwise.
