The only thing Froch doesnt have is world class speed.

    He isnt slow though.

And he has taken many people by surprise and will continue to do so with his punch ACCURACY and TIMING. This has always compensated for his speed.

He systematically breaks fighters down with precision punching, and a lot of the time people dont see that he is doing it hence think he isnt doing much apart from walk forward using his face as his defence, and wearing people down that way.

Because like weather forecast we don't know for sure. We can only take what we know and make a prediction just like the weatherman. Besides the predictions we can see alternate possibilities and everyone on this thread has covered them one way or another. All we can do is wait and see and get ready to say I told you so (If you're picking dirrel LOL).

it was obvious joe was more talented than lacy ... just as it is obvious that dirrell is more talented than froch so that is a great comparison...dirrell will bust him up leaving the crowd beggin the ref to stop the fight

Exactly, I think he is gonna break froch down and froch isn't gonna be the same afterwards. Funny thing about this fight is that people are saying the same exact things in froch's favor for the fight. People have extreme opposite opinions on how this fight will play out and feel strongly about it LOL. Dam I can't wait for the tourney to start.

I know people are comparingit to the lacy fight...well froch is far more like lacy...a slower hard punching good chin fighter and dirrell is like the underappreciated master boxer who has yet to truly break thru to the mainstream like JC was....i can't wait for the matrix to win this whole thing

I like dirrell to win but if spinks got hit with the punch taylor hit froch with he would be a vegetable...he never hit spinks and u know that so that is just plain dumb to question his chin of all things....but it is eastside and some people are just dumb:deal

I think he can win it with that footwork but the thing I worry about is his discipline. He sometimes leaves his hand down while moving out but he usually slips the punch with his reflexes. He's been in alot of spots where it looked like he was about to get caught but he slipped it or it would just graze him. I'm banking on him taking this fight so serious that the flaw will be erased and froch will not get anything lucky. He's gonna earn this by going threw a bunch of fast accurate punches. Dirrel's footwork will have froch feeling desperate and force him to open up while trying to close the gap. I just see alot of lead straight left hands popping froch before he can react and froch just baffled when he finally witnesses dirrells speed in person. Everyone here who doesn't know already will know that dirrell is in a whole different level of hand and footspeed than anyone froch has ever seen. Froch can't even get sparring for dirrel LOL. Do you think dirrel will have that problem finding sparring for froch? I doubt it.

I'm one of the lucky 10,000 who has tickets for this... i'm also taking the missus as i'm a gent like that.

I hope and believe that Froch will be a step too far for Dirrel. I would like to see a knock out in round 8 - 10 but i just can't see this one going the distance... and i can't see Froch getting KO'd.

Andre will lose this fight and will finish bottom of the SS pile!

LOL that is pretty true. I've seen dirrel his last 4 fights and have only seen froch in his last 2 fights. I feel that the way the pascal and taylor fights played out that we have a pretty good picture of what froch is. Dirrel on the other hand hasn't had to show all he has yet. I feel that he's played around with all his opponents. His discipline on defense while moving is what needs to be fixed and I don't see froch winning if dirrell takes the fight as seriously as he is saying.

And yes i do got Showtime and HBO LOL.

Froch 'style' of boxing and never say die attitude could unsettle the very best.
I won't be surprised whatever the outcome

Whichever fighter can dictate the fight, can enforce their gameplan, will be the one who wins.

JT wrote the gameplan on how to beat Froch. Shame he didn't follow it. Kick Froch's ass until the end of the fight and then clinch/evade/run. That isn't even a hard thing to do.

If Dirrell can simply pick Froch off for the first 8 rounds, then tie him up for the last 4, then the fight is as good as won.

If Froch can wear Dirrel down, take his legs, and then step it up in the last 4 rounds while not letting Dirrel tie him up then the fight is also as good as won.

However, I think it is Dirrel's fight, if he makes the right decisions then there is nothing Froch can do about it. Seriously, outwork and out score for the first 8-9 rounds. Clinch and hug for the final 3-4. Win. Easy.

JT wrote the book, if he clinched and spoiled for the last round then we wouldn't be hearing anything about Froch now. Cause he would have just been pretty much schooled.

What about Jr MW Kassim Ouma?

He took plenty of Taylor's punches...and he took em better than Carl Froch:deal:deal

Dirrell is made for Froch .... Dirrell hangs his chin out and Froch will catch him too many times. Dirrells opposition recently as he has moved up in class looked very average and he hasnt loked impresive .... Froch looked good against future World champion Pascal and wore down Taylor eventually to KO him .... Froch is a nailed on 4/6 fav and thats worth anyones good money .. Froch will win and this is an easier fight than Pascal or Taylor !
