Froch is too tough for Direll both mentally and physically...i see Direll dropping out of the big six after getting KO'd viciously.
Depending on the seating plan around the ringside itself, id say another 2000 more. Ive been to a few concerts at the arena and its unbelievable how many people can actually fit in there once the capacity is changed to suit an event that doesnt require the actual ice surface to be in use.
I think you take your analysis of these 'experts' too far. The fact is i make no secret that im a Froch fan and as such ive studied as much as i can in the build up to this fight, there isn't much i dont already know about Froch's history and what happened in each of his fights. I've also made damn sure that i can give a good account of what Andre Dirrell does and doesn't do well in the boxing ring. Your posts point is based on the fact that you yourself have hardly scratched the surface on these 2 fighters.
Ill take froch as a lock in this one. Dirrel is going from 6 rounds to 12 rounds. This is too big a jump up in comp for dirrel right now. I say bet the house on froch.
There is a big difference in getting hit while your blocking and waiting and getting hit hard while you are throwing a hard shot yourself. Taylor Bombed froch when froch was trying to exchange and that's the difference. Ouma wasn't exchanging. He was in a shell moving forward trying to get inside and smother taylor in close. He wasn't exchanging at the end of punches like froch was. There were alot more punches in the fight that froch took while swinging that would have ended spinks or ouma's career. Expecially the 6-7 punch combination taylor bombed froch at the end of the 8th round that stole the round for him on my card. Even compairing spinks to froch is crazy. That's like saying Zab Judah can even come remotely close to hurting carl froch LOL.
Froch jabs like he's shooting a bow and arrow. His right elbow shoots straight out everytime he jabs. He jabs like Robin Hood The first guy to slip his jab and dig a left hook to his body will make him **** right there in the ring.
Maelstrom, your wasted on these forums ,you should be a trainer, roach and Mayweather snr have nothing on you.
Having watched a few of Dirrells highlights I just can't see him pulling it off over here unless Froch has a shocking night.. which won't happen as it is a home town fight and he will be firing on all cylinders. Dirrell hasn't fought a name yet and I think this will prove a step up too much at this stage of his career. I admire his courage tho coming over to the "Lions Den" tho, good luck to him Nice to see an American on our soil every so often
I cant believe people are saying this crap, Froch's boxing skills are not great but if he has one world class thing it is his chin. That **** is made of granite! Tough fight for Froch but think he comes through it just!
Im also one of the lucky 10,000 to get tickets for this fight. Very much looking forward to it, if I'm going to be honest I'm not sure who's going to take this. I thought Taylor was going to beat Froch but was very much happily surprised to see him KO'd. I thought Taylor's speed and workrate would have been too much, and it's these reasons which im seeing people pick Dirrell to win over. I think Froch will win. He really does display some genuine confidence in his own abilities, and in his hometown, I doubt that confidence will waver. I see him losing perhaps the first few rounds, then after Dirrell's knackerd of punching a cast iron chin, Froch will put him down in the later rounds.
I remember that most fighters when asked, thought that calzaghe would win but not in the dominating fashion he did.
Coffee is for closers. Froch is a "coffee" fighter. The question is, is Andre? We haven't seen him in deep water to know for sure, but I think he's smart enough to learn from Taylor's mistakes both from a preparation and a strategy standpoint. I like Dirrell on points here as I always have, but no possible outcome would surprise me because of that unknown factor. I'm just looking forward to seeing how it unfolds and have nothin' but respect for both men.
